So, I did the OCW on my 243 to find a charge weight. Then I fine tuned the OAL. Using H4350 and 115 DTAC (naked) to get 3050 FPS from my 26" Brux 1 in 7.5 twist barrel.
I've had this sitting dormant for a bit now but finally got a chance to get some rounds down my range at hunting camp today. This is three shots at 491 yards.

There is something to it! It's the only way to work up a load in my opinion. It's easy, effective, quick, and just plain works.

Were you able to retain Mag lentgh? Good shooting by the way. 5 shots min to post groups.:) What MOA is that 1/12?

Yes, I am inside AICS mag length.
I did not measure it and never called it a group. This is merely a testimony to all those who wrangle with OCW. There are those who say OCW is no good unless you do it at 300 yards or more. ALL of this was worked up at 100 yards.
I do have one photo where, after I shot the three pictured, I turned the controls over to my buddy's 21 year old son (not a LR shooter). His three were only slightly larger than mine.

OCW is not the only way but most defenitely the best way.
