O.K. members, here's my sad sack story:
Purchased an Osprey & YHM Phantom 5.56 Stainless back on 10/8/12. Dealer advised that it will be a few weeks before they arrive, then I send off my F4 for approval. Got it. Not wanting to be pest, I waited until last night to send an e-mail to my dealer-who really is a good dude- to inquire if he had any updates on these items. His distributor sent the fax (form 3) to ATF on 10/15/12. Dealer contacts ATF for info this morning and they have no record of any fax for these items. Bad fax machine at ATF, or they lost the paperwork, who knows....? My dealer has offered me a full refund or we can submit and try again. Some deep thoughts from my shallow mind here...would the distributor not ask some questions as to why they have not been cleared to send the items to my dealer? I'm not looking to blame any parties here but was hoping for a little clarity. My dealer has heard of this happening before but this was the first time for him. Would the ATF take this into consideration to help my F3 along? (Quit laughing!) Maybe I should consider the Thunderbeast group buy? My birthday is on Thursday, (I said quit laughing!) and this is not what I had in mind as far as progress. The upside, ATF cashed two checks for some suppressors back in October. My dealer had one in stock so I made a move on that one. Any thoughts members besides sticking my head in an oven and quitting the NFA game?
