I'm planning to reload my 308 win soon since match ammo price is very expensive, any good recipe out there especially for 20" Remington 700 LTR barrel?
43.0g varget and 175/178g bullet runs well in every 308 I have around here. Start under and work up, but I bet you will find a good charge somewhere near there.
Cost will be a considerably less than buying black hills or fed gold.
I use 45 grains of varget with a 175 smk in my 20" remington 308, with lapua brass and winchester large rifle primers, for right at 2600 fps, just enough to get to 1000 yards. I did a lot of research before working up loads and found most were using 44-45 grains of varget, so I started at 44. I've shot the same load with federal large rifle match(210m?) And cci br2's with no pressure signs in my rifle.

varget, 4064, R 15 are all suitable for this -
you may not be completely familiar with the site - all this info is in the reloading depot sub- category with about 10 pages of 308 loads - read and enjoy!
