Alright guys, never hurts to throw this up here for you guys too. I bought this bike with the intentions of commuting back and forth to Boeing everyday, but in the end after getting offered the job then them having an issue with one of my ex-jobs, long story short the retracted the offer. And without a steady income it needs to go!! I also bought this bike to get up on those long logging roads to get out shooting without having to throw everything in the truck everytime. Throw the rifle in the pack and I'm up there shooting in a 1/2 hour. Well onto the details of the bike:

2008 Kawasaki KLR 650
6366 miles (39% freeway, 60% in town, 1% offroad)
Aftermarket Bad Boyhorn
Aftermarket Rear hardcase
Regular maintenance on bike
Last oil change 200 miles ago
Pirelli Scorpiions mounted @ 75% life left
Brand new set of Dunlop D606 knobbies
Title is in hand
Tabs are good til May 2013

My asking price is $4100 OBO. If anyone is interested, please shoot me a PM.

And don't forget you're rain gear... looks like 50% chain of rain on saturday and "rain likely" on sunday. High on saturday of 42 and 37 on sunday... should be fun!

Hey all, a bit off topic but I figured some of you may want something along these lines for a christmas present!

A good friend of mine has started his own business this year making everything from custom bed frames, belt buckle cases (he rodeo's and is from Wenatchee), jewelery boxes, picture frames, wooden roses (VERY cool looking!), rockin broncos...etc He can do pretty much anything and is very talented.
Here's a link to his facebook page and some other pictures of his work... Figure'd with Christmas around the corner some of you may be interested! His name is Garett Wolfe and his number is 509-630-6305.

Re: SHWW Group

How was the match? Glad to see afew matches in Wa area. Anyone looking to shoot this upcoming week in the Poulsbo area?

Re: SHWW Group

What a fun weekend, weather was great, wind came and went as expected. A great turnout for the match, some old familiar faces and some new ones. Congratulations to all who came and shot this weekend, whether you did good or bad, its all about particapting, the match winner was Brent, Tyler and Danny close on his heels. Many thanks to the match organizer's, those that helped set up and helped take down and those who ro'd.

Re: SHWW Group

I thought the match was a blast!!! It had to be the warmest/muddiest/sloppiest december match i have ever been to!!!!

Scott's COF once again left nothing to be desired. There was movement, wind shifts, etc. it was really fun (humbling) shooting factory loaded 175gr .308 ammo from tacticalsupplier.com all weekend. I forgot how much the wind affected those .30 cal pills outside of 500 yards, but it was a blast!!!!!

Congratulations to Brent (again, that .243 is a laser, and your a pretty decent shot also. 90% indian, 10% arrow really comes to mind), for the win. Tyler good shooting as usual. Jake also. and to JD for top .308 shooter (next time i will have to use some handloads instead of factory box ammo, give you a fight for those 5 points you got me by this time)
smile.gif

In all reality, everybody that i know of had a good time, and it was nice seeing everybody again. Cant wait for the next one.

Thanks to all the match donators for throwing out prizes for everybody.

To do my part.........Tactical Supply will offer a 5-10% discount on any single color cerakote to all match attendees. Just shoot me a pm. This offer will be good until January 1, 2013.

Good shootin everybody, and Dibbs, I am standing by for your pm:)

Re: SHWW Group

Thanks again Scott for putting on a great match as always, and thanks as well to all the sponsors for their support as well as hanging out and shooting all weekend. RO's as always are the unsung heros, thanks for all of your time and making this weekend run the way it did.

Definitely a fun and challenging weekend, plenty of wind and a fast COF with a high round count, the time left on the clock always looming in the back of your mind, if your not under enough pressure. The best part of matches like these, most of us are forced to shoot in positions we never practice which is what I like best. Great bunch of shooters and a great weekend overall.

Kirk R

Re: SHWW Group

Scott, Sponsors, & RO's thanks for your work & donations to the prize table, and for providing us with a fun filled weekend. Brent, congrats on your first place finish. Weatherman, we're glad you were wrong on the weather forecast! 50 degrees in December, whoda thunk it. Frozen ground and a skiff o snow might have helped some of us (me for example) spot our misses, but it's all good and as TSI said, no frostbite this year!

Friends, it was nice to see you this weekend, and I look forward to our next chance to burn some powder together.

Great seeing and shooting with everyone this weekend !

Thanks to Scott and all the R.O's for helping out to make this match as enjoyable as it was.

Still downloading pictures but figured I'd post a few up for those who couldn't make it.
Hopefully will have time this week to put it all together.

What an awesome shoot! I had one of my worst performances but hopefully it'll be awhile before I shoot that bad again (doubtful)! Kirk and Lucas killed it in my squad on the 2nd day and it was really fun watching some other shooters perform great! Overall I had a BLAST and want to thank Scott for putting on a great laid back and fun/challenging match!

Re: SHWW Group

New guy checking in. (Same post as the Puget Sound thread.)

I live in Duvall and want to shoot more. I used to compete in high power and Garand matches, but now want to do some of that cool looking Steel Challenge stuff!

I dropped a line to JCSteel about learning to RO at his Feb match, so maybe that's a good way to jump in?

If there are meet ups, I'd like to know about 'em.

Eventually, I may have a private 100 yd range with pistol pits for local shoots. Depends on if the land owner wants 'strangers', but its a good place for me to work on prone.

Looking forward to meeting folks and learning more.

Thats a great way to introduce yourself to the sport and meet new faces, get to see a ton of cool gear and just have a great time. A few of us locals head up to ACME for some long range stuff (760-1350 yards) a few times a month. Just pay attention to this thread, we will generally discuss when and where we are shooting so thats an open invite!

What the hell did Ron have in his coffee, or did he have loose change floating around in his gun case? Looking at his score, this was just a minor inconvenience it appears.

Welcome Aboard Seeds, lots of good peoples here. TeamSendIt normally puts on a couple matches a year in the Ellensburg area. JimThePlumber & company put on some fun monthly matches in the Wenatchee area, and he hosts the Findlay Cup shoot each year. Jake(jcvibby) (JC Steel Targets) sells a variety of steel targets and is putting on a match in the tri-cities area, and a couple of the rest of us are trying to jump into the match director chair. Perty informal here...lots of harassing goes on, but we all like to send lead downrange.

As some folks have mentioned, there are regular get togethers on the wet side, but since I'm "almost" in Idaho, I don't keep close track of those gatherings.

Re: SHWW Group

Well I am finally starting to feel better so i would officially like to thank everyone for coming out and volunteering/participating.

In an effort to continue to improve I would love some feedback from the match both positive and negative would greatly be appreciated. Every little bit counts and the goal is to make them the best possible combination of fun/challenging. Letting me know favoite/least favorite stages, time limits, positions.

Feel free to write this in open forum or pm me if you prefer.

Tenative FSC spring 2013 with be April 20 & 21

Re: SHWW Group

Eric, once again awesome job on the video some great pics of lots of shooters, Scott I thought everything was great, except being stuck between two massive brakes when I shot the dot drill even though I did ok at that stage. HOnestly it much that could be changed to improve things, you did a hell of a job and so did the ro's. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and look forward to the next match, now I need to go practice some more.

Re: SHWW Group

I would have prefered more condiments for the burgers, other than that it was great
grin.gif

The only input I could add is keeping the targets clean and visible between groups on a few stages, that is hard to do on that terrain and it would require a ATV. I know myself and a few shooters dropped a few points on the doghouse stage due to a few targets being near inpossible to see. Just a trivial thing I know, but I liked everything about the pace, COF, target size/distance and cant think of anyting that needs improvement. I have a cool idea for a stage that I will discuss with you via PM.

Kirk R

That would be my only complaint as well. I loved everything else about the match. I like it when MDs give you the freedom to do use whatever you want to carry, and let you decide how to tackle the problems they present you in the stage.

One thing I've seen that seems to work real well is to place traffic cones within X feet of any target/target array so that shooters have a real good idea of where the targets are. Even painting target stands a bright color can help, as long as bullet splash doesn't strip the paint off. I realize that part of the trick to shooting is target ID, but as lighting conditions change and targets get shot up it sometimes works out that certain squads have a much harder time on some stages than other squads for no reason other than finding the targets becomes much harder.
