Re: Brighton CO LRPR match

I talked to Beck today, he was at the range improving logistics for the match. It's definitely a go on Saturday.

Re: Brighton CO LRPR match

RJ is correct, things should be a lot smother and there will not be any difficulties identifying the target numbers. I'm going to bump up the number of shooters to 25. Please email me at [email protected] to sign up.

Re: Brighton CO LRPR match

Hey Beck, thanks for putting this match together.

Tough day shooting, challenging winds, 35 degrees, a little rain/snow.....

Re: Brighton CO LRPR match

Kudos to Beck. Great match today. It was well organized and everything ran smoothly in spite of the challenges presented by the weather. My daughter came home and was very excited and happy. I really appreciate the warm welcome extended by all the shooters.

Re: Brighton CO LRPR match

Your little girl is a shooter.I ran the timer for her squad so I watched her stay down and follow through almost every time. The recoil was giving her a good pop also being as small as she is.It doesn't help my ego having another girl to beat me though, one's bad enough. Can she make cookies?

Re: Brighton CO LRPR match

Thanks to everyone for braving the 4 seasons weather today. We had rain, snow and sunshine all rapped up with some crazy wind. I'll have the scores emailed and posted here tomorrow.

Re: Brighton CO LRPR match

I hate to quibble, but I was shooting a factory Remington 700 ADL in .223 Remington, which is a light rifle. It's a really nice rig for $300. I'm pretty sure I checked the right box on the form.

Great match today. My daughter and I both had a great time and continue to learn a lot from y'all.

Re: Brighton CO LRPR match

Great match (as always). Good times, good people. Weather was surprising nice, jackets were off by the end of the match.

Re: Brighton CO LRPR match

Hahaha wowwwww.... that is the worst I've shot in 10 years of shooting!!! Dang... By the way. I was looking into the Pueblo match next saturday and am having trouble getting info on the target layout. I got the 175-400 part, however target placement seems invisible online, even at the match's forum. Any ideas?

Here you go. 200-425yds. Targets are a mutant version of Becks prairie dogs, same width, a little shorter.

Re: Brighton CO LRPR match

I just took a look at the weather and its going to be a balmy (just kidding) 19F for Saturday, with a 40% chance of snow the day before. This month’s match is going to be canceled. Hope to see everyone next month.

Re: Brighton CO LRPR match

Hi Guys -

I am just starting out in this game, and would love to shoot at this match, get some experience... Is there going to be one this month? (February?)

Much Appreciated.

Re: Brighton CO LRPR match

I don't see any issues with the weather other then it being cold. Please remember the match has been pushed back an hour. If you need to check zero be there by 0900 match starts at 1000. Please email me to confirm that you will be attending. [email protected]

Re: Brighton CO LRPR match

Is there enough interest to hold these on Sundays? I know we talked about it being a possibility last time we shot together but wasn't sure if the interest was there... I know Kevin and I would be in for a Sunday since it's the only weekend day us poor coppers have off.

Re: Brighton CO LRPR match

Haven't really asked... I'll l run it by everyone at this Saturdays match . Hopefully thy have some PoPo love for you.

Re: Brighton CO LRPR match

Just a quick question regarding the format of the match:

I understand that the targets are placed in a crescent shape anywhere from 250 to 600 yards... Do the shooters know the exact distance to each target? Or is that left up to your range estimation skills?

Re: Brighton CO LRPR match

Crescent layout is the Pueblo match. These targets are randomly placed from 200-600 yards. Ranges are given to all competitors before the match. Come check it out. It's a low stress, great learning environment.

Re: Brighton CO LRPR match

Thank you! I will be there for sure
