Just started going through my first wait on a form 4 for my TBAC 338p-1, which is going slowly, of course. In the process, I saw some baffle designs, especially monocore designs, and thought. "Hey, I can do that!" Now I'm wondering if a form 1 takes as long to go through as a form 4 does? Anybody send one though lately?

Same time frame when they hit the branch, never buy what you can build yourself.
If you have to go thru 2 dealers or a SOT and a dealer before you get your 4 started, a form 1 is quicker.

Re: Form 1 wait times?

Thanks for the heads up. I wasn't confident enough to build a .338 magnum suppressor, but I do have a smaller CNC mill, and lathe in my garage, I'm pretty sure I could come up with something for a .22LR

Re: Form 1 wait times?

With a lathe and mill you are set. With a mill I'd snoop around Here and do a mono-core. Ask all the questions you have and save big by doing your own. The amount of outrageous money being charged for a factory can, dealer charges ect, can all be money in your pocket. Even if you do inconel for the blast, mono and end caps and Ti for the tube you will be money ahead. Plus, if an when it goes to shit, you can rebuild it w/o all the other hassle's a factory can is.
