Noveske Switchblock *GAP -10 UPDATE*

Re: Noveske Switchblock

No offense but why should you be compensated, this is a small custom shop that produces high quality rifles that not only will last a life time but also is guarenteed for the life of your rifle. And on top of that all of the top makers have had a major rush in orders

And yet it's me making the issue about the delay? Lol... You're just pissed off that they didn't bend over backwards to give you a refund for a gas block that they missed tuning.

Re: Noveske Switchblock

Broker, no matter how you combine the TWO problems I have had with ONE transaction, the COMBINATION of the issues was the problem. One without the other may not have been as big a deal, but two shitty circumstances with one transaction is unnaceptable IMO without compensation.

I asked for compensation with ONE issue, I was told no, now with 2 you are still saying no I shouldnt be compensated. How many issues with one rifle should one have before they are compensated? Keep drinking the Kool Aid

Re: Noveske Switchblock

Sic65Stang, Im really suprised to see this here as I personally talked to you about this and explained in detail what happened and apologized. Josh comunicated on his own time via his personal cell phone to make sure you were taken care of. And you were with lightning speed and personal service from one of my best guys. Im really confused.

Guys we cannot help when our suppliers have delivery issues, we do our best to keep eveyone informed. that issue is a hard one to handle and I know its irritating to guys.

The Switch block issue was that we normally have a Surefire 7.62 can in the shop, so we didnt need the customer to send his in for this build, but when this one was compleated the suppressor had be shipped to a Police Department and was not available. The Shipping Dept accidently pulled it and he was notified of compleation and it was shipped. Yes we Screwed up and I called Sic65Stang myself and told him what happedend and we discussed the fix which was followed to the letter and he got his rifle fixed ASAP. We did what we could as best as we could to solve the situation and threw in some GA gear to sweeten the smell. I still feel bad for this customer and Im sorry he feels the way he does.

Re: Noveske Switchblock

Don't feel bad George, you went above and beyond what 99% of other companies would have done. At some other companies, he might still be waiting with no communication at all.

Re: Noveske Switchblock

Sic65Stang I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish here. Is it just an outlet to vent you're frustrations or to bad mouth the builder? You ordered a custom item built to your specs. Things are going to happen. I have yet to have a manufacturer or smith meet a deadline in this industry. That includes everything from the barrel, stock, action, and optic I ordered. None showed up in the time frame that was quoted. It's too unpredictable when you factor in the high demand for anything firearm related these days. My advice would be to accept the apology, move on and enjoy your new rifle. It's one of the best in the world and built to your specifications.

Re: Noveske Switchblock

George, We did speak personally about the problem I had. I think you guys did an awesome job getting this back to me and I think that I did recieve above and beyond service. We talked in legnth about my situation from order to delivery. You did apologize and set me at ease. I was still upset about the time frame and that the rifle had to go back, but was sure you guys had done all you could.

While we spoke you said it would be fixed and sent back with a box of goodies. I didnt picture a hat and t shirt as the compensation for my issues. I dont know exactly what I expected, but it was more than that. Was that wrong?

If this is considered exceptional in the rifle world than great, it seems many can not set themselves in my shoes. You say you still feel bad for the way I feel and I appreciate that you do, but I want to ask you if you feel I should feel any diferent than I do? Should I feel that I got what I orered late, wrong, and then fixed, with a shirt and hat to promote a company acceptable? Really not trying to sound like an ass, I just know people with other companies (not rifle companies) that go way above and beyond with compensation because they did something wrong or couldnt complete jobs on time.

Re: Noveske Switchblock

Let me try to explain this to you. This is the firearms industry where in last year we have had a democrat president reelected, multiple horrific shootings, and a lot of politicians from both sides of the aisle calling for gun reform. Some of the parts they need (e.g. : bolt carrier groups) may take a little time to get and like I said, with the times now some parts may be hard to get.

Now I have never met or even spoken to George but from what I can tell from who I have spoken to, it seems like he puts his heart and soul into his company and every rifle he makes. I think in your case he is doing everything he can but you have to remember, he has company that needs to put food on his and every one of his employees table. If he gave some money back for every rifle that went out over quoted time because of a problem that was out of control, how long do you think his shop would last financially. I know if he offered me a discount or money back, I would tell him to keep the money.

George, when my GAP-10 is done, I would like to make the trip there to pick it up so I can meet you and the men that makes these rifles if that is cool with you.

Re: Noveske Switchblock *GAP -10 UPDATE*

George and GA Precision are a top notch company and top notch guys. Friendly all the time. When I had my M40A5 built and the timeline was a little extended I picked up the phone and had all my doubts put to rest. Sounds like you had a lemon of an experience. Time to grow up and realize that life sometimes isn't what you expect and that shit happens. I mean hey, if your unhappy with your GAP-10 im sure there are plenty of guys here ready to take it off your hands.

p.s. George...ive got some business coming your way real shortly.

As soon as I get the call, I'm there. St. Louis to KC ain't bad.

Re: Noveske Switchblock

Thumper, I think you hit it exactly right on the head. I had a lemon of an experience. I believe this was most likely an isolated event and probably does not reflect the norm at GAP. Stuff happens. This was just my experience and may not reflect any one else's past or previous experiences with GAP.

Re: Noveske Switchblock

Let's try to switch this to a positive thread. I have been contemplating a GAP 10 order since they came out, and now that the switchblock is an option, I am running out of reasons not to. Lets see some pics of this beast!

Re: Noveske Switchblock

Mix-ups happen. Gotta get over it. I've had nothing but great service from GAP. Back when Moon was there doing my rifle, I received several calls from him personally discussing what I wanted and what would be the best way to accomplish that goal. They have GREAT service. I'd highly recommend them to anybody. I'll have to make it up there myself, sometime. I'd love to see where the magic happens.

Re: Noveske Switchblock

Nothing pisses me off more than going into the local Walmart for a few items and having to wait in long lines just to check out. We all know approximately how long it should take to check out, I am referring to those times where it takes twice as long to get through the checkout line. Then one time I found a pair of my new sox had a hole in it so I went back in to return it. It took twice as long to return the damn socks as it should have. Those sons of beaches at Walmart refused to pay me for my time. How can you guys continue to shop at Walmart and support this terrible service? If I get a new pair of sox with a hole in it and I have to spend my time getting a different pair, damn it, I want free shit and some serious coin; and expect none of you guys to shop there again until I get it. These weren't you're average pair of junk socks from China, these were expensive best of the best kind of socks. I didn't really feel that I should be compensated for my time when it took twice as long as normal to check out, but when it took twice as long to check out AND I had to return the socks I felt like they should pay me money to keep shopping there. And can you believe that Walmart did not even send out a single person to the back of the checkout line just to let me know that it was going to take a little longer than normal to get checked out? OH! I'm furious! How can you guys keep buying from places like Walmart and supporting the retail industry when they refuse to pay people for their time?
