Going to get one or the other, but would like opinions on the pros and cons between the two. What I get will go an a Bushmaster M4 type carbine and will be for general use. Thanks in advance.

Re: Real Difference In Aimpoint Pro and CompML2

Not sure about the differences I think batteries used is one of them. I just shot my new to me Pro today and like it alot. Once sighted in easy to put all the rounds in 2" bullseye at 100yds. I was a little surprised because with no magnification in covers up a lot of the 12" target. Very accurate, gonna try one at our 3gun night shoot.

I own both. They are essentially the same scope. The PRO has a 2 MOA dot which I prefer, and is rated for somewhat longer battery life. Also night vision compatible, not that it matters for many of us. Comments from the Aimpoint rep on another forum suggest the real battery life is basically the same. I consider the PRO slightly superior, and it also usually costs less. I don't think the ML2 has a reason to exist any more now that the PRO has no restriction on who it can be sold to.

SWFA has a great deal on the Comp2 right now. on Ebay you can get one for $349.95 & 7.99 shipping; that's about $50 cheaper than the Pro. Decisions, decisions, decisions....too many scopes and not enough time!
