January's match is Saturday, Jan 26 at 0830. It will see both Carbine and Precision sides of the house again. We are probably going to do two moving target stages as a group first. Movers at 100Y and 200Y. Carbine will have some CQB exercises as well.

Both courses of fire and semi-accurate round counts will be posted soon.

You may shoot either precision (long range, scoped rifle shooting to 637Y) or Carbine (modern sporting rifle at shorter distances).

Come on out and let's kick off the new year together with a bang!

Merry Christmas,

COF looks another series of Fargo challenges. Should be "chilling". Looking forward to it.

I'm trying to figure out what " 1 piece of external support other than a bipod" means.............sitting...oh hell not that
f*&king swiss seat thing is it?
Shooting over the back of some unfortunate sherpa?

Better get my zeroes right

Re: NHRPC JANUARY 26 Precision or Carbine, Gap PA

I probably won't be able to make this one, but I'll be back one day...

Good to see you guys back! Merry Christmas.

I mean like a tripod or shooting stix. Everybody shares so don't feel like you got to rush out and buy anything.

;-)

I'm saving the Sherpa for the Mason Dixon Sniper Series.

MUAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Re: NHRPC JANUARY 26 Precision or Carbine, Gap PA

Freddie, is there going to be a handgun portion to the carbine match?

Re: NHRPC JANUARY 26 Precision or Carbine, Gap PA

I would plan on there being some handgun involved for the carbine side, but not for the precision side.

Carbine will shoot movers and pop-ups with the precision crowd first at 200Y.

Just some fair warning - there aren't a lot of spots left open at this time. Get registered or you are going to miss it. Four precision spots remain right now.

Re: NHRPC JANUARY 26 Precision or Carbine, Gap PA

As much as a enjoy these matches, the weather is looking good for snowmobiling. Looks like I'll miss this one. Good luck and safe shooting to everyone that makes it!

Re: NHRPC JANUARY 26 Precision or Carbine, Gap PA

Glad I found this one too. Should be a great match. My first one with NHRPC.

Re: NHRPC JANUARY 26 Precision or Carbine, Gap PA

Everything still on schedule despite the snow?

Re: NHRPC JANUARY 26 Precision or Carbine, Gap PA

Great match today. Thanks everyone who can out and shot in cold windy conditions!

Re: NHRPC JANUARY 26 Precision or Carbine, Gap PA

It was 12 degrees all day. Yeowch...

My fingers are still numb and stingy.

Scores are up for precision:

It was fun trying this with an ol war horse mauser and 40 year old ball ammo out of greasy cardboard boxes. Three times I had to re-cock to get the round to go off. Even though it's not optimal, a platform like this can be surprisingly effective.

Re: NHRPC JANUARY 26 Precision or Carbine, Gap PA

Nice shooting guys!

I was thinking of you guys today. Way to tough it out in the cold weather.

Re: NHRPC JANUARY 26 Precision or Carbine, Gap PA

Thanks Guys.

I had fun, my first precision match, my first movers and we doubled the round count of my gun...all in one day!

My face is feeling a little wind burnt at the moment.

Nice meeting and shooting with you all.

Thanks again.

Re: NHRPC JANUARY 26 Precision or Carbine, Gap PA

Any updates on scoring for the carbine side of the house?

Re: NHRPC JANUARY 26 Precision or Carbine, Gap PA

They've been out for a while at AR15.com. I neglected to x-post them here. All these are down-points/time so lower is better.
