Watched it last night, mainly because I watch Moonshiners and wanted to see what it was about. When the Mafia leader is a roofer you know you're legit. It was worse than Devil's Ride, and that was a rough one.

I was going to post about this show here but I was embarrassed to admit that I watched two episodes.
Worst ACTING ever. I don't buy a second of this shit and wont be watching any more of it. The leader guy is so obviously fake and his three idiot buddies are just icing on the cake.

We go out to Lancaster county about twice a year. I'm not an expert on their culture but I can tell you that the ones I've encountered will not allow their photos to be taken. They're so adamantly against that sort of thing that even the children's dolls do not have faces. That program was so mind-numbingly stupid I couldn't stand to watch it. Even now, I'm sure I've lost brain cells.
Now there are substantial differences between the Mennonites and the Amish, this is true. But as far as the Amish appearing on camera, sorry, can't buy it.

No, some aren't as strict. There is a community in FL (another Amish show) where they are basically "regular" people but are not as strict and appear on camera, live in nice neighborhoods, etc.
The ones that leave become regular joes. Some even join the military. But the Amish mafia? Yeah, whatever.

I saw it for the first time and it looks staged and fake. I really doubt you would commit crimes on tv and not be arrested. I saw the one idiot shoot a shotgun though a car window. Really the police would be there in minutes and lock his ass up for a felony.

Yeah it's fake..but mostly it sucks at being fake. I live in "Amish Country" The Amish are pretty much good people..sure they have a few bad apples but who doesn't. Seems that old Levi used to be a Firefighter..hmmm.
