who make a good receiver at a good price? looking to build myself a 50 in the near future. I like the McMillan but $2240 is hard to swallow. is there anyone that carries the mcmillans for less money? thanks.

I would recomend an armalite AR50. It dosent cost much more than that and they shoot great.

50's are expensive no matter where you go...2200 isn't that expensive for a 50 action.
Are you looking for single shot or repeater?
Would you be willing to use a 50 upper for an AR lower? If so, you can find them in the 1500-2K range...that's barrel and action.

This is hard to beat for the money. This is what you will see the most of at a 50 cal match and for good reason.
