    I was planning on posting this up in the hunting forum, since this platform is now my go to COYOTE RIFLE..., but being this short film is mostly composed of the weapon being built, I figured this was the best place...
    Large amount of thanks to C. Dixon here on the hide, for letting me see what a day in the life, is for him... I'm still amazed at not only the work he puts into EACH build, but the precision, dedication, passion, and intensity that he rolls with building each weapon, is flat out INSANE.
    Had a great time, I'm thinkin this is some of the BEST footage I've gotten to date, and it's only a fraction of the whole picture.

    WOW. Very nice work on both ends. Loved the trace near the end. Best I've seen in a long time.

    That was cool skinney and a great looking rig. Looks handy and balanced also.

    What twist, bullet and what kind of velocity you getting with that barrel length with what powder? Guessing it is about 20"? Have a new Stiller Predator here and several 22 and 243 blanks and thinking of doing perhaps a 22/250, AI? or 243? Can't decide. Got a new stock coming from McM in a couple months so deciding what to build that is all aftermarket to leave to son or nephew?

    The nice remarks are appreciated. My son James is working at the shop now too. He did all the paint/coating work on this rig. Any success on this rifle is due in large part by his efforts too.

    He chambered his 1st gun a few days ago. I equate the experience to the 1st time a father sits in the passenger seat of a car.

    Big thanks to Oneill Ops for allowing us to do this for them. It involved some late nights (early mornings?) but hard work rarely goes unrewarded.

    You must be a very proud Dad, as your son did a great job. Enjoy your time with your son, as it's the one thing that you can't get back. Great video and craftsmanship as usual.

    18" 22-250 setup for the lighter stuff. Remember, this gun was built for a singular purpose/mission:

    <span style="font-style: italic">Harvesting fur with minimal pelt damage from close range as the majority of the kills are filmed with a high definition camera. The owner spec'd out the rifle to run from 0-400 yards because any further and the coyote resembles a house cat on film.</span>

    Don't know as the owner is taking care of all that stuff. What I can tell you is he's spanked almost (over?) a dozen yotes since Xmas.

    I'd venture to guess (pure guess) that velocity with 55-69 grain bullets ranges from 3300-3150fps.

    Not to pollute the thread but doe anyone have any experience with the Harris Rota-Pod? Looks to do the same thing except allows panning left-right.

    Great Vid Skinney, it's very well put together. I stumbled across Chad by accident a couple years ago... sometimes we get lucky I guess. It's pretty freaking cool to hang at the shop for a few hrs & watch the work.

    Did I miss something from bighorn? When did they come out with an action with and intergral recoil lug? Or was it a SHOT show suprise?

    It's been in the works for a while. Just recently being released though.

    I've got another integral lug BH here now. Its a full production deal as I understand. Nice receivers. AJ is a great vendor/guy on all fronts!

    Chad nailed it dead nuts... although I will add, during the load development (this platform did NOT need it) I tried 50,55,60grain vmax, the 55sgk, and the 69smk, varying load charges, but all the same powder (varget)... all produced .5moa groups @ 100yds or better... Like Chad said, I wanted this for one specific purpose, minimal pelt damage, close range from 0-400yds, and easily maneuverable with a can, but after seeing the 69smks roll out this tube, no DOUBT in my mind this can be accurately shot beyond 800... I'm also working on a full HD review of this weapon, the build components in detail, as well as why I had Chad build this how we did.

    I've shot the 22-250 platform my whole life, and I literally ran NO ballistics @ the end of this video, I held a tad over 4 minutes @ 440yds with a 10mph wind from 3 oclock, I aimed @ the coyotes ass (1/2 life sized AR500 coyote target), and grouped em in the throat region (if you watch in HD you can see the vapor trail being blow from 3 to 9)... this is gonna be a high speed low drag set up fellas, especially with the NP-R1 ret on 15X, 4min=400yds and I'll take it down from there 3@300 2@200...

    Thanks for the info. I've got a 8 twist 22-250AI and been thinking about chopping the barrel down to 18" from 26". A bit too long for coyote hunting now that I've got my can. Everyone I've talked to says don't do it you'll loose a lot of velocity. Looks like I'll have to look into it a little more.

    whats the difference, having a point blank range @ 300yds using one crosshair, or being able to get on your target beyond 300 just a quickly while more effectively using the 1 minute hash's... if you know your weapon and your ballistics, there is really no need to run your gun with a 26" pipe and another 7.5" hanging off the end... don't get me wrong, there is a point and a set of circumstances when you are better off spinnin the turret, but really, on a platform designed for killing dogs @ close range, just how fast do you need it?

    Impressive. Definitely not the average gun video by amy means. You need to make a full length precision rifle film and kill Magpul's sales!

    We've chambered 2x mullerworks barrels thus far and the results hae been stellar.

    Gents, you won't make a bad choice with one of these. Its a new company and the guy's stuff just flat out works.

    Greg found a jewel of a supplier.
