Seems from what I am reading here, that the go-to powder for the 6.5's is H4350. I got rid of my .308 and am waiting on my Creedmoor to be built. I have ~4 lbs. of Varget that I was going to use with my .308....should I use it, sell it, trade it?

Anyone use the Varget with 6.5CM?

    Thanks.

Varget will be good for smaller bullets like the 120 amax. But h4350 for anything heavier is the go to powder for everyone I know. I'm shooting the 130 vld and 140 vld with h4350 and getting great results. Plus it's one of their extreme powders

I use H4350 for the 243 with heavy pills, just picked up a 6.5CM gas gun and am working on a load for the 140gr AMAX, seems H4350 is the best choice. I have used Varget in a lot of loads over the years, primarily in the 223 with 69s and up as well as the 308. Varget is much more temp sensitive than 4350, I found if your pushing your load with Varget and you get into a high temp invironment, you could run into some serious issues with pressure.

Good powder, just temp sensitive, if your not pushing it hard Varget will work, but there is a reason everybody is gravitating towards H4350 for the Creedmore
