Frank, any of the changes effecting the speed of the website? All other websites are working fine for me except for SH. It comes and goes, but it wont load the site and takes an extreme amount of time to load pages...
email [email protected] they probably need to restart the php or something, UBB has been sucking up the memory then slowing down and when they purge the memory and restart it it will speed up.
same issue here. i can get the site to open, then when i select thread or anything it just wont load. other times i cant get the site to load. ill open tab after tab and finally one will load, work for a while and then same thing, i cant get a thread or forum to open, cant get to messages or anything. seems to be only at night for me though
I'm using Windows. What I found, if a page takes to long to load, is press ctrl+N this loads another SH page, which becomes active. I then get rid of the page that's still loading. A pain in the arse I know, but it works for me when the pages freeze.
As most of you know - we're been plagued by database problems since around noon today. software patches just got applied about an hour ago. ( but it does take a good 2 hours or so for DB servers to settle down ) - so perhaps another hour and things should behave themselves.
Have you been seeing double-posting within the past 60 mins?
FYI about 16 hours ago, another round of software patches were added to the back-end. Performance should be more predictable. But since we just hit new peak#s of users 4 days ago, we probably have more to do.
Unfortunately this isn't a simple case of just throwing more hardware at it.
The site has really bogged down for me the past week. Sometimes it will be normal speed, but mostly click and wait 15s-20s for a thread to open. I've checked most of the stuff on my end and ever other website I visit responds normally. Any ideas?
