Wow, Brownell's just stopped taking new orders on them. Said any existing backorders won't be cancelled, thank god. I had all my chips with them, 30 on backorder at $18.99 each.

Supposedly Magpul is making 300,000 mags per week? I read that somewhere. When I talked to Magpul they said that bigger distributors will get dibs on the upcoming shipments (hence why I went with Brownell's, they are listed on Magpul's site and they told me those guys get stuff first).

If you have to place a backorder, try and do it with one of the places listed on Magpul's site. And sooner the better.

I bought 20 308 PMags a while back.
I was putting off buying any more waiting for the FDE's to come out (supposedly was to be in Jan ~ I read that somewhere).
Then SHTF and as a precaution I ordered put some on order with Brownell's too ~ knowing at some point I will get them.
I can wait.
PLUS ... I learned that Cerakote works great on PMags.
I coated four in FDE to start with and you can't tell they were coated ~ looks fantastic.

Saw this as well. I had already placed an order for 5...but decided to try and grab some more today when I saw that they could no longer be added to your basket. Interestingly, however, I was browsing on my iPhone later in the day and noticed that I had previously added one to my cart and never checked out. It was still in there...so I upped the quantity to 10 and placed the order.

Saw this as well. I had already placed an order for 5...but decided to try and grab some more today when I saw that they could no longer be added to your basket. Weird. Same here. I happened to have a 10-pack in my cart on my phone so it let me backorder them. Afterwards tried again (with no intention of actually ordering again) and couldn't advance to checkout. Meanwhile, my backorder Dec. 3 still hasn't filled. If I ever get this new backorder filled they're going on sale here at cost.

In regards to ADI, there may be hope!

I placed an order 1/6/13 for some 7.62/.308 mags and emailed them asking if the items I ordered were on back order. This is the response I got just a few minutes ago:

"Thomas they are in stock but due to the amount of orders we are receiving our processing time is now 5-15 business days sorry for the inconvenience."

BUYER BEWARE on www.blacksmitharmory.com in Tempe,AZ. Myself and a friend both ordered 308 PMAGS from them on the 19th of December. They charged our cards the next day and won't return calls or emails since. The order status still shows "processing" on the website and wont allow us to cancel orders. I had a friend go by the address listed on the website and there is nothing there. Anybody in AZ know anything about this company?

I heard there were fake sites popping up to take advantage of this. Sounds like you'll have to dispute the charges. I went to one of the fake sites, forget which one, it is easy to tell they are fake because they are the only ones with a full inventory. They also are places you aren't familiar with.

Anyone who has extra 308 Pmags, or finds them in stock locally or online please let me know and we can work something out, would reimburse and pay a small finders fee. I also have a lot of 556 pmags so we could do a trade if you have a few to spare! Thanks. I'm about to order my first GAP-10 and don't have a single mag for it!Shoot, the factory is less than an hour away, maybe I should just drive up there and beg!

Got my 'processing' confirmation from ADI Jan 4th. Nothing since. I sent an e-mail questioning the status of my order. I imagine I will receive the same response as others/above...fingers crossed...I will update when I hear back from ADI

Get in line somewhere like MidwayUSA, Hide Vendors, etc. (just by way of example) and wait patiently if you want to pay MSRP. Anywhere else at this point and you will be paying out the ass unless you just happen across a good deal. I bought 10 from a Hide member around Christmas for $22/mag shipped and that's the best I've seen/heard of since. The damned things are going for $100+/mag on GunBroker and not too much less than that on BARFCOM, etc.

And FWIW...Magpul just announced a 25-round 20LR PMAG at SHOT so I'm sure that's only going to fuel the fire depending on what their anticipated availability is.

Finished my build today. I have a single shot LR-308!

Hopefully the mags I ordered will come in, it's been a month tomorrow since placing the order (when they were supposedly in stock.)

Yeah I saw they announced the 25rd mags today. Those are awesome but will probably be non-existent.

I was hoping to find a couple for around $22-$25 a piece even used but no such luck and I don't have the kind of cash they are bringing right now on other sites.

I hope so! My dad was going to backorder them from DSG as he is retired Military and I think they have a Mil. discount but they won't have them for months probably.

If you are in Houston TX and really need a pmag or 2, Spectre Firearms in North Houston has the 308 flavor in stock at $39 each. I guess that beats gun broker. This is as of ~10am central on 1/18/13.

DSG is awesome, and they are getting them in. i backordered on dec 23rd, had my mags on jan 6th. and the mil discount is the best i've seen.

I may be the only one to have gotten my mags from ADI, but it took two weeks. And, that was before I posted it here for all of the "vultures..."

I called every gun shop in Houston today and only 1 had any in stock (spectre firearms). Anyone got a hot tip on cheap pmags for sale on line???

Guys ADI is a legit company. Probably out of stock currently. Eventually once they get stock they will ship,or you can get a refund if you want. No concerns with them.

I don't find it legit if they were claiming to be in stock when in fact they are back ordered. I hope that isn't the case.

So far when we have been told is that its just "processing time"

I placed an order with them on 1/4 and received the "processing" email, but not tracking number yet, so I just emailed them to check. I ordered over 60 various model pmags from 4 different vendors in December/early Jan so I'll be happy to see the majority of them even if it takes another few weeks. Will advise.

We have the items we just cannot package and ship fast enough. We got started on jan 4 orders today so look for it to go out soon.

I received an update 2 minutes after requesting status. They explained one group of orders was processed faster than another.

Considering the country is in panic mode I have no problem waiting. It took whatacountry almost 4 weeks to send me 16 AK mags with no warning in between. Needless to say, I was all smiles when the box arrived and I'll be all smiles again when the ADI order arrives.

Just got an update from ADI. Ordered 12 308 pmags on 4 Jan, told to expect tracking number by the first of next week. Guess that means no later than Monday or Tuesday.

I placed an order on December 17 with Brownells for five 308 mags. I got a tracking number yesterday. Should be here today.

Well I boned up back in early Dec and placed an order with Botach for 10 of these things and I just got this email today. Looks like I will only be getting 3 of my 10 I ordered. The shit part is I ordered 10 for a reason! They were $18.95 back in the day. Now I will need to go get in line somewhere else.

Ya I am not impressed and wont be going back to them at all. I have only ordered one other thing from them in the past and had not realized that had not such a good rap with this community. Never again will they get an order from me. I may even send them a note telling them I am very unhappy.
