Photos S&B from RAL8000 to Cerakote FDE & Spuhr Mount

This scope came along with the XLR chassis that I posted the other day. The customer didn't like the "RAL8000" color that the scope came in, but that was the only color option for that particular model of scope. He wanted it to be FDE. Only problem was that I was going to have to paint the turrets and everything to get rid of the color. I figured I could do it. For the most part I achieved the goal, I was only unable to fill all the little tiny lines on the turrets, just wasn't enough room to get in there to do what I needed to do.

Spuhr mount was to be painted to match the scope, not a problem, I included a closeup to show that I masked off the built in bubble level, and it came out super clean, i'm quite pleased with that.

I'm happy with the results, it took quite a bit of time, but overall it came out very nicely.

Awesome job, was not aware you are able to Cerakote a scope---thought they were all Duracoat

Is air cure Cerakote still tougher than Duracoat or are they pretty similar?

Both have their strengths and weaknesses. I prefer air dry cerakote on scopes, although i've done both on scopes before as well.
