Rifle Scopes Sig Sauer 556 scope

I have an Eotech system with 3x magnification. its great and all, but past 100 yards its no good. id really like to get some distance out of this, but I don't know a lot about the drop of the 556 round, etc. My brother put a massive Burris with a 50 mm bell on his AK and seems to be having a lot more fun per round than I.

I don't like cheap brands, but Im open to just about anything that's well mated to a 556 or 223 round. I like Vortex, i like Leupold, but Im not a brand slave.

What do you guys think? BTW, I have a Newegg credit so it wold help a lot if I could keep my search there.

Put a 2-10x36 Weaver Tactical on mine and think it looks about right and with a 20MOA ringmount should get me out to 1,000 yards if I so ever wish.

With any variable scope up to 24X you should be able to get to 500 yds easily. SFP fine unless you want to range your targets with your scope. Would get matching mil/mil or MOA/MOA reticle and turrets. In many 500 yds matches I shoot the 556 crowd smokes the 308s and other calibers.

So why do you have the Sig? Is it for defense or to put precise holes in paper targets?

You should be hitting targets at least out to 300 meters with that 3X. If not get some help with your shooting.

Or if you want to just out-look your brother find a scope with a 55 or 60mm objective.

In your case I'd go with the Vortex Viper PST FFP in 4-16X50 or the 6-24X50 depending on how much magnification you want.
