M5 Stealth? DBM

Re: M5 Stealth? DBM

I've got one on my budget rifle and it feeds just fine from AI and two older Alpha mags. For the money I think they're very hard to be beat and to be perfectly honest, unless it's a spare no expense build I'll be using them in the future.

Re: M5 Stealth? DBM

I'm trying to decide on whether to just use the BDL as is, use a PTG one or the M5. Looking at either the Manners ultra light or the B&C Ti. I have the donner 700/.223 on the way and a light AAC 700 barrel-need to find someone for a quick turn on that rebarrel. I just don't know if I need to do all of the "voodoo" or just spin the barrel on, headspace and be done with it. They would need a .300 BLK reamer to finish the barrel as it's new.

Re: M5 Stealth? DBM

Cant beat it for the quality and price. I like the extended magwell which makes it easier to reload faster. Also being that the dbm has an extended magwell you can rest your rifle on the mag ( hand on mag for standing shot etc) and it will not affect the manipulation of the bolt since the base plate (5 round aics mag) rest against the bottom of the dbms magwell.

Re: M5 Stealth? DBM

PTG is running a sale for $99 for shot. Call them before the shot ends to get the deal. I ordered two of them.

Re: M5 Stealth? DBM

PTG M5 Stealth are fantastic. Standard Badger M5 inlet and great price.

Re: M5 Stealth? DBM

Might want to call the folks at Stocky's first if you have ANY questions. These people know their business. I purchased the M5 for a HS Precision Remy 700 and realized it didn't fit. One call to Stocky's provided me with the right drop-in part (M4). Thanks to Jessica and all the fine folks who work there they got me squared away quick. Shipped the M5 back today and am eagerly anticipating the M4's arrival. With so much there to choose from I thought this might be good advice.

ETA: The parts they sent were absolute top-quality!

Well said. My thoughts exactly. Here's a pic of my B&C light tactical with the Stealth bottom metal dropped in to check for fit. Doesn't get much better than this. Buy with confidence.

Damn, that's a smoking deal! When does SHOT end?

Re: M5 Stealth? DBM

Anybody got a picture of one of these on a long action. Considering running one of these on a 300 wm build I'm doing but worried it will hang down to far with a 5 round mag.

Re: M5 Stealth? DBM

I just ordered one in 300WM with 5 Rnd mag. It's going on a B&C Medalist Varmint/Tactical(Adjustable) Stock. Before I break out my Dremel and make a mess of the inletting, does anyone have any recommendations?

Send it to someone to get done.

Re: M5 Stealth? DBM

I love mine! its not necessarily lightweight because of the magazines. The bottom metal its self only weight 7 Oz but one 300 win mag magazine weights .48 lbs (on my scale). very nice and look great tho, cant beat the prize.

Im using it on a manners T5A stock, which is my favorite stock.

Squid284,

You might want to check with B&C as they did the inletting on my stock. And as you can see it is perfect.

How did you get a B&C stock in-letted for a M5? I called B&C & they said that they would not do it for a M5. A M4 (or a BDL hinged bottom plate) they said they would do, but not a M5.

Go to the Badger website and look under services. They will do an M5 inlet for your stock and turn it around in a week or two.

I was going the M5 route with a Manners T4. After I really priced out everything with the bottom metal, magazine and bedding, I went with the Manners and DBM Mini Chassis. I'm glad I did.

I have two on short one on long..dont wonder why i didnt choose the bafger m5 :) coz i wont and will never on this inleting..they are very great and ecxept the same mags as badger not to mention those magwel will help u everybit on competition
