I got a couple of pictures from BlackOps Technologies rifles from the 2013 SHOT show. That is a lot of eye candy for me in one place all at once. Mike Bush and BlackOps makes some nice rifles. But, maybe I am a tad biased as I have two of their rifles and one on order.

Black Ops for the win. Those are same damn fine looking rifles.

Re: BlackOps Technologies at SHOT- Eye Candy

What action is Mike rolling with now since he parted ways with Defiance??

Re: BlackOps Technologies at SHOT- Eye Candy

I know my new 6.5mm Creedmoor will have a Defiance action but I don't what else is being cooked up for the future.

Re: BlackOps Technologies at SHOT- Eye Candy

Did he share a a booth with Butler Arms (shotgun guys)??

Re: BlackOps Technologies at SHOT- Eye Candy

I don't think so but I am sure they were around. The Mission Arms Group was involved in the show.

Re: BlackOps Technologies at SHOT- Eye Candy

Mike builds awesome rifles - his fit & finish are THE best I have ever seen.

He built my favorite hunting rifle for me - I absolutely love it!!

There have been more than a few questions about this and although I won't go into any detail, I did leave Defiance Machine in September. This was a positive development, as it was very difficult to divide myself between my own business while serving as Engineer/CEO for another.

Since September, my crew and I have made huge strides in developing new actions and other components that are being manufactured in-house. We've been busy churning out our new line of 1911's, which did very well at SHOT, and we'll continue to push the limits in creativity and design for the sake of the shooting sports and for those that serve us professionally.

I appreciate the support of Sniper's Hide, our customers and those that I've been fortunate to befriend on this site and in the industry. Thanks to our loyal customers, BlackOps Technologies has continued to beat the odds and we've continued to move forward. This is truly humbling and continues to remind us that serving the needs of our customers is far more rewarding than serving a multitude of distractions.

One other big change for BlackOps Technologies is that we've partnered with the Mission Arms Group (MAG). MAG serves as our Sales and Marketing force and their participation allows me to focus on what I do best....Create cool stuff. Because of this arrangement, developmental projects will no longer take as long to complete as the Model 605 Rimfire Repeater (now Patent Pending) has.

Make no mistake, I still own BlackOps Technologies and always will. This means that what we do and how we do it will not be compromised. We will continue to sweat every small detail and continue to turn out the most finely finished rifles and pistols available....among many other new things.

Re: BlackOps Technologies at SHOT- Eye Candy

Does this mean there is still a hold/delay on the production on guns built with the 911 "Military" action?

Re: BlackOps Technologies at SHOT- Eye Candy

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: dogman</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Does this mean there is still a hold/delay on the production on guns built with the 911 "Military" action? </div></div>

The short answer is "Yes" and I openly apologize for this delay. Although the original delay of the Model 911 "Military" was created by other issues (outside of BlackOps Technologies control), the delay is prolonged by the necessity to bring it's production in-house. This particular delay has been quite bothersome to me, as originally, it was avoidable.

Going forward, I'll make every assurance that the benefits to bringing the "Military" (all actions) in-house will far outweigh any frustration caused by this delay. The "Military" was a cool action in the beginning, but it's even better now.

Thanks for the update Mike - I wish you all the best as BlackOps Precision moves forward.

Very curious to see your in-house actions, can't wait until you reveal these to us!!

    Take care,

    Jeff

Yes, but it's temporary. The INFIDEL will be back in the line-up later in the year.

Re: BlackOps Technologies at SHOT- Eye Candy

That's fine that just makes mine more special!!LOL. Your rifles look great as usual keep up the great work.

Re: BlackOps Technologies at SHOT- Eye Candy

Dammit, I missed a good show. Even the cell pictures make me jealous!

Looking great as always, Mike, wish I could have made it. It just means I have a better excuse to tell the wife that I "really need to go to Montana for a couple days" LOL.

Re: BlackOps Technologies at SHOT- Eye Candy

Thanks for the call Mike, sounds like you had a good time at the show and I know you are glad to be home.

As you know, I got the rifle back on Friday and got to shoot it Sat.. Great job on the can, you took it from being a paperweight to something I can depend on. If you run out of work, I'll post pictures and then you can fix the others out there.

How many more rifles do I need to get from you to have a display like that? I've not been able to figure out why I would need the 338, but......

Re: BlackOps Technologies at SHOT- Eye Candy

Great looking rifles. You should offer a BlackOps Technologies embroidered drag bag as an option to your customers.

Glad it worked for you Arnie....it was an interesting TiG job. IIRC, you're not too far away from a display like that one.

    Mr. Bush,
How soon can we see the updated product changes on the web site? That's probably as close as I'll ever get to having one of your rifles!

Outstanding work, you are truly gifted.

There's a scheduled overhaul of the website, so I imagine it won't be long for the new stuff to be available online.

Mike, I'm eagerly waiting on design specs and details for the new action. I think it's time to set up my next build.

I'm patiently waiting for my Ravage and Jaeger (300WM) builds from BlackOps! I know Mike builds a hell of a rifle. Can't wait to get behind them and see what they are capable of.
