What would be the best contour for this sport? Ive got a HV Bart on my current 6 Creed, should I stay with that same contour? Would likely be shooting some F-Class at times, too.
600 to 1000 yard bench rest? Might get better answers over on AccurateShooter.com. In general the idea is all the barrel you can get w/i the weight limits
I will depend on your other components to make the 17# weight limit. All of my Light Gun barrels are the same Contour as Broughton’s 7.9B 1000 yd.-PA taper (1.250” straight for 6” tapered to .940” @ 31”) plus a brake. The heaviest of mine weights 16 Lbs, 14 Oz… It is a BAT 8.5M Multiflat Dual Port on a Shehane MBR Tracker with an aluminum butt plate and trigger guard. The Scope is a 42x NF BR in BAT aluminum 1 pcs 20 MOA rings. A Remington LA will come in lighter. A 700SA with the same setup will come in under 16 lbs… Hope that helps. Baron Graham
