    Surprise, AZ
My brother has been using the above scope on his Remy SPS 308 Tactical for 3 years now. It seems to have glass, resolution and tracking equal to my Vortex Viper 4-16X50 PST, I am thinking of replacing an Eotech 552 on one of my AR with this scope. I am interested in the reports form any other users of this scope good or bad.
    TIA

So no one on the board has used the above scope?

I had the 4-16 model. It went bad 3x's then I sent the 4th replacement to Midway and got my money back. There is no way the glass is as good as the Vortex. Save your money. This scope was on a 10-22. The last one lasted about 200 rounds and the recital started spinning.

Thanks for the report. I guess my brother was lucky, A case of a blind squirrel finding an acorn. He has at least 3-400 rounds trough his SPS tactical 308 without a problem.

I had the 6.5-25x44 on my first Rem 700 and thought it was a great scope for the money. Sight picture was clear edge to edge, lost a little bit of brightness at max magnification, illumination settings were nice, and it had tactile/audible turret clicks with a locking mechanism. It's on the larger/heavier side, plus the turrets stick up pretty far, but other than that I had no complaints.

That's pretty much the same experience and feeling my brother has had with his Konus. It seems a very solid scope and comparable in quality to my Vortex Viper PST FFP.

I don't know that I'd go that far, my PST is brighter, a lot sharper, and doesn't get dim at max magnification. Plus the PST has a better reticle, is FFP, has a wider field of view, a MUCH better warranty, and feels like it's built sturdier. Pretty much the PST is better all over, but does come with a higher pricetag. But as I said, the Konus M30 is a good choice if you're on a budget and you can find one on sale.

The M30 3.5-16x40 is inexpensive - about $300.00 bucks. You get better than average glass at this price point. It's adjustments are repeatable, which get the job done. I've shot mine out to 600 yards and have not complaints. Downside it's heavy, SFP and MOA. That said, there are many high end scopes that are heavy, SFP and MOA.

There are some good scopes under $500, I would put in this order Best to good, of course, might very depending on the use.

Best 1.Hawke sidwinder the "Tactical" series $430ish,
Great 2.Midway edition vortex hs tactical $499,
    Slightly better 3.Midway Weaver tactical"Japanese glass"$299
    Good 4.super sniper10X.$299

When I say "best" I dont mean the world's best scope, in my opinion best within $500 range

The new one that my brother in law just bought is now nil/mil. They changed it from 1/8" per click to 0.1 mil. IMO a wise decision.
