hows it going? got my savage 110ba in 300wm back today with the new cerakote on it. i love the paint job, was looking for something a little bit different.

work was done by Bob Goettel, owner of liberty arms LLC. in smithton,PA, and fellow hide member. he did an awesome job. attention to detail second to none, and he is one hell of a nice guy answering all of my questions and helping me with whatever i need. turn around time on the paint was only 1 week. i must say i would reccomend him to anyone. hopefully i will be having him build me a full custom bolt gun before long. i will say this, give liberty arms LLC. a try, i guarantee you wont be dissapointed.

thanks again bob. talk to you soon.

Re: this should stand out at the range

Let us know how she shoots. Nice looking Savage.

Re: this should stand out at the range

That is a sweet looking rifle.

Bob does some great work and is a great guy. He helped me and my buddy put our rifles together and they shoot great.

Re: this should stand out at the range

thanks guys, much appreciated. i have had the rifle for over a year now and just had him paint it over the last week. to say the least, the gun will shoot way better than i can with some good reloads. it loves the 210smk. i have only just begun to reload so i am still learning and developing a load to stick with. bob has helped me out alot with anything i was unsure of. next addition to it will be a suppressor without a doubt.

Re: this should stand out at the range

TUT !! when we shooting man? get ahold of me next time you can make it up here.

Re: this should stand out at the range

Personally, I'm old-fashioned, and i like black rifles. BUT....

Man, that blue and black looks sharp. i usually dont go for rifles with paint jobs like this, but that blue looks great! good job!

Re: this should stand out at the range

thanks again fellas, i was sort of worried when i picked the blue that i wouldnt like the finished product but went ahead with it anyways. glad i did

Re: this should stand out at the range

Looks pretty cool hopefully it shoots great for you! Bobs a good guy ive delt with him a couple of times and have had a buddy as well as hide member have a shortie 308 built by him which shot lights out

Re: this should stand out at the range

thaks guys had it out today, put some loads together with the hornady 225gr HPBT with 70.5gr of RL22 and the gun didnt seem to like that load much. back to the H1000 and the sierra 210s or 190s. rifle shot well under MOA with those combinations. average group at 100yds was right around an inch or inch and a half. today with the hornady 225s and the RL22.

with the sierras and the H1000 average was around a half minute group or better.

why did i switch? i just had the hornady bullets sitting around and figured id give em a try.

Re: this should stand out at the range

Stick looks good Top, hope you get her shooting the way you want. I'd tell ya to get into the 208 amax but they're like hens teeth a lot of the time..

Re: this should stand out at the range

hook,

i want to try out the 208s very bad but i can never find any. they are either out of stock online or my local shops dont carry match bullets and they cant even order them, or atleast thats what they tell me. half the time i need to drive 2hrs to grices just to get ahold of the sierras, they usually have some sort of match bullets which is presenting a problem with me being able to find a load that works and sticking to it. when i want to continue with something i have tried, seems like noone has it when i need more.

bad luck i guess

Re: this should stand out at the range

TOPGuN,

The colors flow pretty well. Different than most rifles you see on here. I'm kinda digging it.

Re: this should stand out at the range

thanks raven,

i am considering putting some black splatter on it also considering i can just use a rattle can and take it off if i dont like it that way.

Re: this should stand out at the range

I fucking hate blue painted guns. Blue guns have one and only one purpose and that is to be used as a training aid.

Re: this should stand out at the range

I think it is definitely unique. Not my cup of tea but if you like it +1 to you.

Re: this should stand out at the range

THERES ONE!! i knew i would get atleast one that would flip out about the blue and that being a training gun color.

Re: this should stand out at the range

You will be really happy, had mine out to the range last Thursday for the third time and still working on load development as this is my first bolt action, even with 25 mph winds I shot under .5 MOA. Very happy with mine.

Re: this should stand out at the range

I like when someone steps away for the norm and does something custom. Job well done.

Re: this should stand out at the range

Interesting paint job. I think it would look really cool in red too. My 110BA is the 338, but it will shoot a whole hell of a lot better than any $2K gun has a right to.

Re: this should stand out at the range

i agree on the red spelunk. thank you all for the compliments. im going to get back at it this weekend and try some 190s and see how they shoot with some h1000 i know this gun will go well under MOA. i just have to get it there.
