Don't be so sure. Several of the name barrel makers are looking into spinning up a few thousand Enfield #4, Enfield SMLE, Mosin Nagant 91 and 91/30 or even the M38, M44 and Springfield '03 barrels in both standard profile and heavy. Big market not even counting all the Mauser family of rifles wanting new tubes. Donj't forget all the ARISKA 6.5 and 7.7 receivers out there.
A source for M1 carbine barrels is another maybe.
Just an observation from some chat I have read and seeing some survey questions..

There are hundreds if not thousands of #4's looking for barrels. I have two new one .303 and one .308 for patterns I offered to one of the M1 Grand barrel makes.
