Overheard : Lapua to run 300WM again

Just passing on gossip.. but could be exciting...

While doing some research on a new build, I read a recent post from a guy, on another forum, that recently talked to a Lapua rep, and was told they are going to put 300WM back into production. No ETA was given of course. But if this is true, and knowing what we know about time to market in our hobby, maybe next year we'll see our beloved 300WM Lapua brass back.

My understanding is "Lapua" 300WM brass was actually RWS.

Regardless, hope it works out for y'all 300 shooters.

It would be cool if they did it, from an RWS guy I bumped into at SHOT he told me that Lapua's 300WM stuff was made on contract by RWS.

It came up as a topic of discussion when I was asking about getting RWS 7WSM, 300WSM, and 300WM into the US again. Basically he said "eh, we're really not interested in sending components in. Just loaded ammo"

That's unfortunate. I would love to pick up some more RWS or Lapua 300 Maggie brass.

Pray for Lapua or just switch to Norma. I corresponded with DRT who folks got some RWS brass this past fall at very fair prices--asked when could expect more and if I could preorder. All I got back was to expect it to be a while.

Hope local hide brethren tire of their brass and decide to share.
