Thanks for the responses y'all. A friend of mine is having a rifle built by them. I'd never heard of them, and wanted to do a little digging. I forwarded along that thread to him, and he immediately called the guy to address all the allegations haha. I think he is going to go through with the build, but has the CC company's phone number on speed dial now.

Stay away from Brad at STS. He built one of my departments rifles and it was nothing but a headache getting it back.

He built one for me, there was some aggravation getting it back but more in line with what you hear about the custom rifle business in general. I do understand why some folks are pissed though with the excuses and missed dates. The industry just needs to learn to try and just be honest about the build times, things happen, but it is more common being way late than it should be.
The rifle is a shooter however, it is a 1/4 MOA gun, I have put 10 FGMMs in one ragged hole before. I think he can do good work just needs to maybe go to work for a bigger outfit with their own administration. I really hated reading about the problems.
