I have an atlas with the american defense mount on my hogue handguard that only has a sling stud. Is there an adapter that won't require much surgery?

Accu-Shot makes one that is about as simple as simple gets:

You can leave your stud in place if you like and install this rail section behind it, or if you would rather have your bipod mounted as far forward as possible, just unscrew the swivel stud and use it as one of the two holes. 15 minute install max with only basic tools required.
