I bought an HDMR 3.5-21 with an H58 but wanted an H59. The seller made an error on the reticle description but has made it right so I am keeping it. I ordered a new HDMR but with an H59 and am wondering two things 1) should I sell the H58 for the H59 or 2) just keep the H58 (it was a good deal!). Trying to decided if in real world practice if the H59 is really any advantage for the extra cost?

Your guys thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

The dot on the 59 is nice when I dial but for holdovers the difference between the two reticles isn't noticeable.

besides the center dot IIRC the only difference was one extra mil of windage on the grid. If you got the 58 at a better price I'd stay with it!

Good to know!

For those that went from a H58/or other solid crosshair reticle to the H59/Tremor style, did you notice any improvement in precision with the center dot? I have a Tremor reticle in one scope and a Vortex Razor with its open center design. The Mark 8 I have on order comes with the H58 and am curious as to what I may be loosing on the higher magnification visability-wise.

When you learn to use a Mil dot reticle it won't matter what Horus reticle you have. Use it and enjoy it.

Yea I am wondering the same thing...I bought a new scope with the H59 and will either put the H58 on another or sell one of them once I play with them for a while. Figure I got a good enough deal on the H58 that it doesn't hurt to play around with them. Taking the H58 coyote hunting this weekend so time will tell.
