Southwest Ammo - scarred cases with dings/scuff

Re: Southwest Ammo - scarred cases with dings/scuff

in 4 deployments i used ammo that was caked and burried in mud, came out of a blown up 7 ton, sat in the hot sun for days at a time, sat in the cold for days at a time, dropped on the ground, ran over by trucks then police called and put into magazines or loaded in to a M2.

all of the hell the ammo went through and no matter how shitty it looked (to an extent) it still fired. i personally would vote for it to be miss Cali lol. I'm not a fan of plastic surgery. i would fire that ammo any day

EDIT: if its supposed to have been new cases and they weren't then that would be messed up though. I've never seen new cases with deep scratches on them personally.

Re: Southwest Ammo - scarred cases with dings/scuff

Personally, I would have contacted Zach via pm or phone call
than do a public thread right off the bat. No matter if they came
without bullets ......but, thats just me.

Re: Southwest Ammo - scarred cases with dings/scuff

I have explored other forums and can say this one is number one. I am not perfect nor claim to be. I do make lots of mistakes, but I will go out of my way to make it right and then some. On that note, the person who started this thread contacted me via pm and did apologize for not contacting me. I am sure next time he will contact first then go from there.

I want to thank Hiders for being awesome and great to a start up company like mine. We have our ups and downs, but we had made some cool friends and enjoy what we do.

Don't bash to hard, people are human and learn eventually, its the ones that don't learn who I have no care for.

Is not shipping the ammo that I paid for back to me punishment for airing this out in public?

After shipping the boxes in question back to SW Ammo in the first week of November I did not receive any communication for over a month. Then I finally got a PM back that the ammo would ship in a couple days.

Now three months after shipping the ammo back and almost two months after being told that I would get a return shipment soon, I have yet to receive anything, and my PM's are being ignored...

I really don't know what else to say at this point, this is pretty damn childish and pathetic. You can keep your ammo and the ~$80 that you have basically stolen from me at this point because I'm done investing my time dealing with this inexcusable display of customer service.

Re: Southwest Ammo - scarred cases with dings/scuff

Man you are getting royally shafted on this deal. I've read the whole thread and see where you know you should have called first and have apologized for that. I can see why you are a little upset that you got brass that was not new when you paid for it to be. If you paid for some affordable reloads expecting fired brass to be used I would think you were being unrealistic wanting pristine brass but it sounds like that is not the case.

I would be livid as you are over this whole deal if I was in your shoes. Sorry this whole deal has worked out so poorly for you.

Re: Southwest Ammo - scarred cases with dings/scuff

If you haven't called the the past few weeks, pick up the phone and ask the girl who answers when it is going out. There is a good chance they believe the order has already gone out...they are swamped there and have been since October/November.

If she can't help you just ask for Zack, I'm sure he'll talk with you directly.

My private messages were read and then ignored, why should a phone call get anything more than indefinite "hold."

I'm done, thieves as far as I'm concerned.

Re: Southwest Ammo - scarred cases with dings/scuff

Yeah, that's pretty bad. Sorry you're having to deal with issues like that. Glad to see you manned up and agreed contacting them first about the issue was best. 1/4 of a year since you shipped it back and still no return product? I would have flipped my shit as well. This sucks because I had a very different perception of the company before reading this, but I can't discount the good customer service reported by so many others. I will have to keep checking back on this thread to see how this ends.

I apologize for the shitty return service on my end, there is no excuse. This is childish calling me a thief. I will simply return your money and we can move on.

Re: Southwest Ammo - scarred cases with dings/scuff

I just refunded all of the money from the order, so you got 5 free boxes of 175's.

Sorry for the issue.

Re: Southwest Ammo - scarred cases with dings/scuff

Damn Zach, you've got amazing service. It sucks that there will always be a few orders that get botched every so often but that's the nature of business. I know how the Machinist feels as this has happened to me but every vendor on this site ALWAYS goes above and beyond to straighten things out.

Re: Southwest Ammo - scarred cases with dings/scuff

We are living in unusual times, am sure SW ammo is swamped like the rest of the industry. I will have more shells going out to them to get in line on Monday, will do so after every shoot, this way I will always have ammo coming. Am I little anxious the ammo is running late, yes, but I wont let my anxiousness turn into anger, if that happens the jackasses that caused all this panic will be winning, I will save my negative feelings for those people that are the root cause of the craziness.

Zach, stop reading the dammed forums and get back to work on order 2477 and my reloads.

Re: Southwest Ammo - scarred cases with dings/scuff
