Im ready to start load testing with my new 6Creedmoor, my front rest is the Bald Eagle "Slingshot" DR rear bag, T4 Manners, 8-32 Sightron w/MOA-2 reticle. This rifle will be used for 600yd BR/F-class. Am I missing anything, or should I have done something different?

Re: Is my setup bitchin? Or not?

Get your year tickler off the trigger and get a hair cut.

Re: Is my setup bitchin? Or not?

Screw those "young guy" comments. Yaah, It's nice. And you don't need a hair cut. You should see my hair! But who did the paint job? Needs some work.

He is just doing a little dry fire practice is all! Anyway, you might want to consider a single shot follower in place of the mag during matches. Not completely necessary but handy when you want to just drop a fresh cartridge into the port and shut the bolt without worries of misallignment.

You'll have to talk to Chad about that nasty paint job, haha. Hair cut, I just got this cut before Xmas, its way too short yet.

Ive got some Benchrest followers, will they just fit on top of the mag follower?

Its on the side of my good eye, so....might try it closer and put it on the left side, though.

Re: Is my setup bitchin? Or not?

It's too clean...

Take it outside, shoot the shit out of it & get it dirty.

See the "Wisconsin 2013" thread in the member link up forum and go to the shoot on Sunday in Marshfield. Lets see how the new boom stick works!

Oh I shot it, 2nd week in Nov. after I got it back from Chad, light loads ranging from 38.5-40.5grs RE17, 3 shot groups. And I was cleaning the barrel about every 2-3 shots. Got more loads waiting in the wings ranging from 41-43grs RE17 & 105 Hornady HPBTs.

Is that an indoor range? I really dont shoot if it gets below 40ish degrees, hands/fingers go numb really fast.

Re: Is my setup bitchin? Or not?

If you don't want to commit to an F-class stock, attach a 3" skid to the forearm and get a 3" bag.

Less twisting = more Xs

Re: Is my setup bitchin? Or not?

Looks to me that you could build your comb up a little.

Check your natural POA from the prone. If you are using your neck muscles to maintain a good sight picture, you will tire rather quickly and not get consistent results.

I might try that if the current setup dont work. Ive got a 3" bag.

If I remember correctly when I tried it in the prone position it felt pretty good, maybe Ill try it again tomorrow after work to make sure. 600yd BR is going to be the main use for the rifle.

Re: Is my setup bitchin? Or not?

I like your reloading area. I think white is a bit too bright so maybe smooth it out with some light gray bout otherwise its a very nice rifle.

Your point? It will blend perfectly with his AO. The straight lines of the camo pattern blend perfectly with the straight lines of the benchrest and even with the straight lines of the bench itself. Hell you will have a hard time telling where the rifle ends and the SUV parked behind it begins...

Haha this is pretty good.

Re: Is my setup bitchin? Or not?

I like your setup. Hope you have a lot of fun with it! And I dont mind the paint. It only matters if you like it.

It feels very fucking heavy, but solid. Gotta be at least 16lbs.

Re: Is my setup bitchin? Or not?

16lbs is not heavy!

I have a 25 lb rifle if you want to try it

Re: Is my setup bitchin? Or not?

I love it and would not change a thing. Cool paint job and nice to see something different.

No, not for what Im going to use it for, but when I try freehanding it, and I put my elbow into my hip, it still feel pretty heavy compared to my Rem Varmints.
