I need to look into this. Friend of mine mentioned they are doing away with ERGO parallax and 22X featured scopes...Haven't verified that.

There was a post a few days ago about this. They are streamlining production and their scopes will have common chassis names. SR - short range MR -medium range LR - long range
Example SR-8 1-8x
The LR-17 will be the 3.5-17x
They will also offer a bunch of standard configurations for their dealers and will do all the custom stuff direct. That's the way JimBigFish explained it.

We have changed our scope names.
Nothing on the scopes have change other than the name, the names are as follows.
SN4 1.5-6x New Name :SR6
SN8 1-8x New Name :SR8
SN3 1.8-10x New Name :MR10
SN3 3.2-17x New Name :LR17
SN3 5-25x New Name :ER25

I was getting ready to purchase the ST-10 and I noticed that they took away the choice for 37 or 44mm. Now its just 37mm. They also took away the option of the US #3 1/10 mil turret. I was specifically looking into USO for these options, now I'm not so sure I want to order. Half of their scopes aren't posted on their website.

The 37mm is not small for that particular optic. One of the reasons the 44mm is no longer available is because it is not available in the t-pal version. We no longer offer the ergo version. Also the 44mm in the ST-10 took in to much light. We actually had to put in a defuser in it. I hope this helps. As far as the US#3 knob it was just not a popular configuration for this scope.

I have 2 1.8-10x37's on my hunting rifles. 1 for deer and 1 for coyotes. I mainly hunt coyotes at night and the 37mm objective is plenty bright enough. No need for the 44mm. (especially now that ssgtkyle has revealed that they were putting a diffuser in the 44's because they let in TOO MUCH light)
You ask if anyone has heard about these changes? Yes, there are several threads on these recent changes in USO's offerings and they explain most of them. Some guys are not happy about some of the changes, but oh well, life goes on.

The ST-10x44mm scope was a fixed power scope. Did you have to put a defuser in the SN-3 1.8-10x44mm scope also - that scope being a variable power scope (more lenses) ?

What about getting rid of the 35mm tube options?!
And for the LR17 only offering it in 30mm? I hope this is not correct, I was just about to order a couple scopes with 34 or 35 mm tubes!

I know it's difficult to take, watching a company streamlining, but in the long run, it's best. There were options we each liked, but those were not the choices of the majority. A company can't go off on tangents providing services that aren't profitable.
Personally, I'm also thankful that most of their 'useable' lineup is intact. I may not have wanted some options but it's easier for them to include those features, such as dropping the st-6 (6x only) in favor of the SR6 (1.5-6x), that allow for some standardization. Standardization in the long run will save cost.
Even in their 'standardized forms' USO is at the top of the heap as far as quality scopes go, IMO.

The LR17 gets plenty of travel with a 30mm tube, this should not be a hindrance. Like USO said, they dropped the options that didnt sell or didnt make sense.
Between the 34 and 35mm tubes, AFAIK, they both got the same internal travel. No difference in function, just mounting options.
