I did try and search the site for this so if I missed a previous posting on this I apologize in advance.

I just got a new Thunder Beast 30BA suppressor in, it is awesome btw, and was told that the load for it would be different then the one I worked up previously. My question is this true? I ask because after it was rezereod I put many groups in one hole with it at 100 yards and it seemed just as accurate at 500 yards as it was before. So should I waste time coming up with a new load or just roll with what I have?

Re: Different Load workup with Suppressor?

With cans if your load prior was on the ragged edge of pressure a can installed, might push it over the edge on the first shot. If your load was moving towards pressure # 3-4-5+ shots will open. If none of your groups open in cold or hot weather, you have nothing to worry about.
All my groups shrink with cans on.

I was on the ragged edge when I shot 155s at 3050 out of my 308, when I put my can on accuracy suffered, so yes a different load might be required suppressed, now that I went back to 175s lumbering along at 2620 I don't have a accuracy issue when I shoot suppressed.

I don't think I am on the ragged edge. I am shooting 155 Lapuas and getting about 2880 out of them in my 26" .308. So far have not seen any pressure signs but will double check again. My first impression was that the groups did in fact tightened up.
