Rifle Scopes Scope choices

After paying for my next rifle (Sig SHR 970 in 300WM) I am looking to get a very nice scope. I dont think I will be shooting at 1k. The farthest range around here is 500. And I'm not good at saving money for one project since the rifles I'm not playing with get jealous. But I digress. For a very nice scope I was thinking about getting either a NF NXS or a Vortex. Either way, I am hoping to get a FFP Mildot reticle. I know the Vortex costs less, and I know the NF is better quality. I guess the question comes down to, is the NF THAT much better then the Vortex if your not going to be shooting past 500?

Im looking to do about the same thing. I have $1500 and I want MOA/MOA with ffp on my remington 700. The difference in the qaulity between the two would be the accuracy of the adjustments I beleive so in your case on a nightforce 1 click is going to be verry close if not perfect 1 mrad and on the vortex it might not be perfect. From what I have read they are both great
