ok so just picked up a barrett m82a1 .50 bmg. I was expecting all the extras that barrett gives..extra mag,cleaning kit,and even a case of ammo that they were giving at last minute. I pick it up and it came with none of the above...Really?? talk about taking advantage of our current situation!! guess they figure "why give free stuff when we'll be selling like crazy" why? because your rifles are 10k thats why, and you have good customers who will actually pay that. Ok i just had to vent a little..just disappointed. as of Jan 1 they are not giving anything to customers with the purchase of the m82a1. Thanks!!

Ouch, I hope the rifle lives up to your expectations. I just cant get into the barrett stuff, especially for their asking prices, but to each their own. Best of luck with it, sorry they have pulled all the amenities.

Maybe they're cutting corners and amenities to better stave off the impending legislation(s) that keep coming along. Lawyers and lobbyists cost money. Maybe times are just getting tough for them and they can't afford to give away free stuff, or there just isn't a need to give additional incentives right now to buy their rifles while the demand is through the roof. It's not like they ran a 50% price increase over MSRP, they (and/or your dealer) just cut the bennies.
I want a Ford Mustang GT500 but I just can't for the life of me figure out why Ford won't offer me 0% financing and a $3000 rebate like they do on their V6 model. Don't they want me to buy the Shelby? A car is a car, right? Yeah...

Not whining at all. I'm not the type. So how do you feel about they were giving all I mentioned right up to the recent crap then cancelled it all? Why because they knew demand was gonna increase. Companies do changes at the end of CY all the time, including price and feature changes. To say that it was due to the latest buying hysteria, I believe, is unreasonable.
Barrett has had a kit with the extra mag and case of ammo. That would have been specified when you bought your rifle and I doubt currently Barrett would be offering it unless somehow a dealer had them left in their inventory. However you should have received an Otis cleaning kit....
You want them to ship rifles or do you want them to let rifles sit in a vault because they can't enough of get the accessories to go with them? That's the danger of offering packages where you don't control the supply of some items therein. Barrett doesn't make the cleaning kits, etc. and if I was them I wouldn't let my rifles be held up by lack of available shit I'm throwing in for free.
Given that they are refusing to sell/service anyone who supports an AWB, I believe you are hard pressed to accuse them of taking advantage of us (considering most of their business is Mil/LE, because how often do you spend 10k on a rifle?)
A lHow many people or organizations support AWB AND want sales or service from Barrett?
