20" 1:12 twist barrel

I use Varget in an older Savage 112, with the bbl. cut back to 20", w/52gr. BTHP Hornady bullets.

Of a powder where you lose pressure before the bullet leaves the barrel and vice a versa. You don't a powder that won't ignite fully before it leaves. I would stay around the 60 to 80 range. Hopefully this helps and isn't to confusing.
