what (burn rate) powder should I be using to push a 52gr bthp .223 bullet(nosler)??

I use Varget in an older Savage 112, with the bbl. cut back to 20", w/52gr. BTHP Hornady bullets.

I run cfe 223. It's around 70ish on the burn rate chart. It's right next to blc-2 which is a popular powder for .223. They both provide great velocities per charge. You can google the hogdon burn rate chart and print for your records. The key is not to have to fast a

Of a powder where you lose pressure before the bullet leaves the barrel and vice a versa. You don't a powder that won't ignite fully before it leaves. I would stay around the 60 to 80 range. Hopefully this helps and isn't to confusing.
