Saw a video where a Nightforce scope was leveld with two triangle shaped wedges that when pushed together under the scope and the rail leveled the scope. Where do I get these triangle shaped metal wedges. Trying the bubble levels for some time and its not correct I am having 3 to 4 inches of drift to the right at 400 yards with no wind.

If you having Drift it is not because your scope is not level to your rifle. It is because you scope is not level to earth. Get an Anti cant device run a plumb line set the level up properly on your scope. Run the turrets up and down to make sure your scope does not exhibit reticle cant, and go from there. If you are really concerned about having your scope level with your rifle you can use a straight edge and tilt it between your scope and rail, or stack feeler gauges between scope and rail before final torqueing.

I personally set up my anti cant device very carefully. Then I get behind my rifle and get comfortable, I then have my wife rotate my scope until the scope is level with earth.
This may not be the traditional way of doing it but it works for me.

The triangles you mentioned are called an adjustable parallel. If the bottom of your scope is flat you can use a set of feeler gauges. To verify you can use a single target @100 with a line drawn with a level. shoot at the original target as you add a mil/3moa every 3 shots. As you get to a full revolution on your turret. Check your target and you will see if it is tracking true in the vertical.

Adjustable parallels MSC would be a ok source, Of course you could find them on ebay.

They have screws on the side you adjust until the way the slide motion feels nice to you. If you can not adjust them loosen the screws a little. The Cheapest Chinese import will be plenty accurate but Starrett or Brown & Sharpe will have a much nicer "feel" .

+1 Rhenerie.
I set a quality bubble level on my rail, level rifle. Use a black plumb line against white wall, level scope/reticle and torque down rings. I test using Rthur's method, except I goto 200yards on a calm day and level the target and print/shoot a 2 foot vertical line of shots. If the POI shifts considerably & consistently left or right, you're off. I test @ 200 because the results stand out a bit more.
+1 on the Anti-Cant device(scope bubble). I've heard people claim they have a "feel" for when their rig is level before sending... mmhmm, okay. Maybe if one has a level reference point(target stand)... however "God" doesn't build things level or using straight lines.

Sorry, didn't know that. From the SH rifle scopes go to the 1st sticky "Optics FAQ" and scroll down to "Mounting optics perfectly horizontal"

That doesn't work either.

Inquiring minds want to know....

I mounted a new scope last week. It's on top of LR308 in a BOBRO QD mount.
The scope has a generous flat under the erector housing. There is about a 1/4" gap from there to mount base.
So I used my feeler gauge set and scope is as level as it can get in the mount.

Reticle does not look canted in there when on rifle but I don't think I should just assume that it is. My garage is 60' long. I like that plumb bob idea so I think I'll set one up, level rifle in rifle service vise with 6" Starret Machinist Level I have & verify.

Or should I position the plumb bob further than I can in garage or does distance even matter in this case?
