Would you like us to pack your bag, lunch and make sure you have a nice glass of warm milk before bedtime as well. Bring your slingshot, not like you'll be hitting anything anyway.

In all seriousness, bring the 6.5cm
I have a feeling there will be camping shenanigans afoot.

Miker, when you say good glass to spot with are you referring to an actual spotting scope?

Re: READE RANGE "SPRING" SNIPERS CHALLENGE 2013

Just got out of shoulder surgery so I will be a little slower on some stages this spring. Oops every year I get slower now I just have an excuse. Sending money out for Greg and Jordon tomorrow

Any elaboration possible here? If spotter will be advantageous over binos, or if binos + rifle scope will do I wont pack the extra 8lbs.

Thanks

And yes Aaron, I would appreciate it if you could pack me a lunch and have some warm milk available before retiring for the night.

I'm thinking it's pack whatever you may or may not need for the match..

Re: READE RANGE "SPRING" SNIPERS CHALLENGE 2013

Ok, so maybe I can shed some clarification here. The reason for the question is as follows. Sometimes matches have a component where you are required to find certain objects hidden/placed throughout the range. While binos would work, it can be very difficult to identify objects at distance or hidden with a 10x set of binos.

So the real question is, for the scope or binos question, will it be beneficial to have more magnification for whatever purpose the binos/scope will be used for?

A simple comment such as "spotting scopes will be beneficial but not needed" would answer this question. I dont really see the need to be secretive about equipment needed for a component of a match.

What begins? Its a pretty simple question here. No one is stirring the pot, they are just looking for a straight answer. Remember, there are people here that have never shot a match, never shot with their partner, etc. They are trying to find answers to simple questions so they can better help each other out and be prepared. This is a team match and no one wants to let down a team mate, especially one they have never met before. Also, not everyone may have access to the same gear to there really is no reason to double up on gear that is not needed. Remember, teammates help each other.

Re: READE RANGE "SPRING" SNIPERS CHALLENGE 2013

Flounder, you're asking for something you're not gonna get from Miker. You twisting in the wind about it give him the same kind of rush that some people get when handcuffs, ball gags and whips are involved in the bedroom.

Again, it was a simple question. If the answer is not going to be given, I think people are fine with that response as well. This is more for the others coming and not myself as I know what our team will be brining. Its not secret squirrel stuff here, its a match, its supposed to be fun. New guys are just looking for answers. If the answer is "Im not giving any more details" then thats valid as well.
Just give them something so the thread doesn't get polluted with jibba jabber. (Especially from you.

Re: READE RANGE "SPRING" SNIPERS CHALLENGE 2013

I've been shooting this match since 2007.

One guy bring a spotting scope, the other guy bring binos.

Re: READE RANGE "SPRING" SNIPERS CHALLENGE 2013

Unfortunately, I have received a wedding invitation from a good friend and must back out of the match. I wish there was a way I could be at both, but there is no way I could commute from New York to the match. I hope my teammate will be able to pickup a new shooter.

I hope the match goes well for everyone, and maybe I can make the next one.

Rifle types

Can both teammates use precision guns or will this be a carbine/precision or ...?

Thanks - Bryan

Back at you, Shawn.

Thanks for the help, Dave, I just found out that I'm 95% going to be flying to CHS for work for 2 weeks, not going to make this one.

Have fun out there guys, if there's people that want into the match both Freddy and I are out, there's room open for a whole team.

There's room for a couple teams at least, most likely more... Come one come all!!!! let's fill this thing up.....

Tail between yer legs Bohem. I was hoping you would be there so I could kick your ass. :)

You still shooting those special Bergers that blow up on the way to the target? Or have you made peace with the fact you missed you badly that you didn't see the splash?

Passed on the Bergers. Too damned expensive and couldnt get them to stay together ;) Wouldnt mind handing you your ass with some 175 SMK though. Sucks you wont be able to make it. Guess ill just have to bother Jon in your place. :)

What's up guys! Who is still in need of a partner that wants to shoot this match?

Still looking for a teammate to shoot this match!!! PM me!

Alright, I swore I read in here somewhere at one time it said what time the range would be closing Friday for sight in. I cant find it now, can anyone remember, or Miker can you answer this?

Thanks

Agree with Jon, Will there be time on Fri to sight in and if so, what time? This will make a big difference in when we all leave for the 4-6 hr drive.

Generally the range is available for sight-in from about noon to 4/5pm.

Miker is setting up in the morning and again after folks head to dinner. If you're there at 2 and ready to shoot you'll have enough time without having to rush.

Josh, Thank you, Did alot of work last weekend, not much to do tomorrow morning, So range will be open MOST of the day, Please report to pitts before shooting. I will be on range by 8 0r 9 am.
