**JC Steel Target Challenge** GAP rifle drawing!!

Jake,
Thanks to your entire crew for a smoothly run weekend. The RO's did a great job keeping things moving and providing clear directions at each stage. The stages were well thought out and provided plenty of opportunities for non prone shooting. The wind definitely tried our patience, but it was fun. It was another great learning experience and I had a blast shooting with old friends and meeting new folks. Movers and Helo's make for big fun!
I am looking forward to next year and we are already planning for the return trip.

To the sponsors..Thank You for your generous offerings, the level of support was fantastic.... Manners Stocks..I will be calling!!

Great to see all my shooting friends at JC Challenge :) , the match was great - saw some amazing shooting in high winds on moa targets. Wish i was able to meet and greet more of the shooters - but i had 1 eye in the glass 90% of the time. Thanks to all those that helped score my stage. :) thank God it didn't rain :) the trails would be horrible and any miss would be like shooting into pudding and no impact would be seen. ! i need a better RO chair - time to get to Cabelas

I should have a spare room for someone for the Findley Cup - ( Cashmere ) - just pm me

I wanted to make a post to congratulate Jake on hosting a fantastic and successful long range tactical match. The stages had a lot of variety and interesting challenges even for the expert shooters. The facilities were wonderful, meals tasty and satisfying, the ranch staff/youth, and volunteers did a great job of managing the details, and we did well at keeping things moving along on schedule. Although it was windy, we lucked out and didn't get rain which would have made things really interesting. This will surely become one of the must attend events in the NorthWest in years to come.

I had the pleasure of serving as the R.O. on Stage 9 - Day 1 (Stairs) and Stage 7 - Day 2 (Fast -n-Furious) and witnessed some top drawer shooting which was truly impressive even among other competitors in the same squads coming throuigh. Congratulations to all of the participants and those that placed high on the leader boards and got 1st picks off the prize tables.

...and before I forget, Big Shout Out and THANK YOU to the numerous vendors who graciously donated their products and services for the benefit of the Jubilee Youth Ranch. The prize table was very well stocked with awesome prizes and loot for the shooters. Even the ROs walked away with some stuff for volunteering our time to help out - thank you!!! thank you!!!

I can hardly wait till next year's event so I can sign up as one of the competitors.

Fantastic match that tested everyone on each stage, To the point that sometimes you we're walking away questioning what the hell went wrong "Was it me or the wind is my DOPE right...." Challenging for sure !

Jake, The R.O's and the Jubilee crew all did a fantastic job running the match, feeding and transporting all of us for the weekend, "A BIG Thank You" to all those that gave their time for us to compete !

Thanks to the sponsors who donated so generously to the match, The prize table was amazing and everyone there was happy as could be to have so many choices and deep enough to even get the R.O's in on their well deserved prizes too.

I came away with about 30 GB's of video that I'm going to see if I can pare down into something that gives a good overview of the match without being too long.
Didn't take hardly any pictures this time but here's a few highlights till the video is done.

Here's ground zero for sign ins

Food, yes I took pictures of it just because the effort that the Jubilee staff and kids went through to provide it for us was well worth a photo.
No one went hungry all weekend, Lunch for day one served out on the C.O.F ,Angus bacon burgers !

Dinner was great too, even cheese cake for desert.

This was an amazing match! I look forward to shooting with many of you from around here again. Wind was a great experiance and I would do it again in a heart beat. +1 for a great cause aswell.

Dibbs, great job on the cold bore!

The wind really kicked the shooter's butts. It was strong, and variable, and when you are shooting across canyons there's no way to judge it. A lot of people hit downwind, just by a little, and was a pleasure watching the ones who 'got it' ringing steel repeatedly under challenging conditions.
I can only echo what has been said above. This was a great match, well run, with too much really good food. After you've been standing on a windy hilltop freezing cold for a few hours, up pops Jake with a huge bacon cheeseburger!
This was Jake's first match as director, and it grew way beyond his expectations. To have a first match this big go as well as it did is a blessing Jake deserves- he's a heck of a guy.
I'll see you all next year, as a shooter.

Eric (AtOne) you do an excellent job of capturing the "essence" of the shoot, and the shoot action with brass flying/people moving in a particular stage(or a helluva job of editing ;). What, No helmet cam from the helicopter??? Stomach in your throat for the first part of this stage? Just kidding my friend! This may be part of the video.

Your photos and videos allows us to relive the fun and frustration we had at the shoot. Thanks for posting them!

Great first match Jake, I want to thank all of the sponsors, Ro's and other helpers, with a special thanks going to H & H Precision Engineering in Enumclaw Wa. I picked up $1,000 worth of gunsmithing which will include a new Benchmark Barrel. I'm planning on sidelining my 7mmo8 and making a 260, maybe I'll be able to get more hits in the wind. LOL
Thanks again, and count me in for next year.
Scott

Hey Guys, hope everyone is doing well!

We are just winding down now from a busy couple of weeks. Just want to say thanks to everyone involved to make the 2013 JC Steel Target Challenge a very successful match for the shooters. We were able to raise a few thousand dollars for Jubilee Youth Ranch! That was our ultimate goal in this entire process and we thank you for the help!

Big thanks to all the RO's, Sponsors(remember to call them!!), and helo personnel for everything. Without these guys none of this is possible.

We have roughly 120 total people out here for the event, with lots of shooting and lots of field style hiking. We appreciate everyones positive attitude!!
Makes it much easier to have everything run smooth!

Congrats to our top shooters! They had a much deserved top finish. It was a very challenge match because of some elements.

We would really like to grow this into a desirable and nationally recognized match. With the help of all the shooters and top notch sponsors we think it could be possible. Again, I am humbled by all the positive comments and am just happy most everything went like it was supposed to. Thanks again guys

I would love the constructive advice as well since I am still very new to all of this and alot of you guys have much more experience!

Thank you, thanks you, thank you!

Lets make next year a great match as well!

Awesome Eric, thanks for the perspective. A few of the shooters in your squad finished well ahead of me and it's clear why from watching them. (You know who you are) Nice job.

Thanks for the video!!!
As an RO, I had an idea of what all the stages were, and of course was only able to see first hand the ones I operated. So to be able to see most of the rest is pretty cool.
I had a great time, it was my first exposure to this style of competition, and boy it was a kick in the pants.
Thanks Jake,
Thank you sponsors.
