Now that I have pretty much decided to build this 6mmbr
which is the better barrel..Chrome Moloy or the Stainless?
With the stock I have and the barrel I will be replaceing
I want to go with a bull barrel..So please help me decide
which one to go with..Also what about the twist and bullet
weights..I appreciate your comments on this matter..John

If you take a look around the manufacturers many only offer stainless, some offer both. I don't think I've ever seen anyone competing with anything other than stainless.

Barrels are a consumable, if you are seriously shooting and doing lots of comps figure one every yr, two at the most. I'm not sure how long a 6BR barrel lasts. In any case, unless you want to pay for a barrel and a finish then get stainless. Shooting a 308 in F-TR we can expect to get a competition life of 3000 rounds ±15% or so from a barrel, the cost in bullets for that barrel life is on the order of $1500, the barrel is only ~$4-500 mounted. Barrels are actually the cheapest part of the formula.

We are using #17 contour barrels 28-30 inches long in our 6BR's.We are using Varget powder CCI 450 Magnum primers and Lapua brass. For bullets stick with the heavy for caliber bullets from 103 grain Spencers to 108 grain Eubers and everything in between.
Hornady,JLK,BIB,Sierra,Lapua,Berger all make decent bullets for the 6BR.
On the twist get a 8 twist barrel. Some will tell you to go 7.5 or 7.75 twist but it is unnecessary.3000 rounds and you can set the barrel back and cut a 1/2 inch to an inch off of the crown. You want 0.104 freebore and 1.5 degree leade on the reamer to shoot as many bullet choices as possible.

What he said.

Go with stainless. Regarding twist and bullet weight, it would be helpful to know how far you're planning to shoot. The easy answer is go with a 1-8" twist and that will handle pretty much any weight you want to shoot.

appreciate all the replies..Now to start getting things ordered if possible...I need it all.brass dies barrel bullets..anyone got any extra brass?

Grizzly Industries the guys who make metal lathes and woodworking equipment have barrels in stock that get delivered in about a week.If you can't find one anywhere else they have them.
