Anyone been able to get through to him? It seems like he's usually real good about phone contact but I've been trying for 3 weeks. Now his voicemail is full as well.

Im sure he is just burning the candle at both ends so to speak, give it a few and sure you will be able to get up with him...

Haven't been able to get through on the phone. I sent him an email on 2/18 and just got a response Tuesday. He said he's not taking any work for four to five months.

I just spoke with Mr Gradous on a private line and he advised me that he is currently working on builds that he has in the shop and just like Blackfoot said, he will not be taking on new projects for at least 4 to 5 months. Over the weekend, Mr. Gradous will look over any emails and/or voicemails and will get back to everyone on or before Monday night. He apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause to anyone but looks forward to future projects with members of the hide.

I think I'm going to test my patience and see if he can do a project over the winter since he's swamped now.

Thanks for the info. His reputation brings plenty of work I imagine. I'll shoot him an email and be patient.

LOL!!

I spoke with Robert Yesterday.... If he is working on your project he will call you... He is VERY busy and if you have ever seen his work , you will completely understand why.....

I tried contacting Robert last week myself. I left him a voicemail, but I told him to not worry about calling me back.....I know the man is probably really busy. I dropped my parts off with him last September and I was trying to get a feel for how much longer it would be, the anxiety is building. Did he give any possible indications as to what his average build times were running?

Very entertaining posts, glad to hear the man is doing well, just super busy. This is what happen when you are good at what you do.
Good shooting.

What did he tell you when you dropped off the parts?

Well, if he's only had the parts since September, then you'd actually be pretty lucky to get that rifle within 6 months. Very few of the best makers right now have lead times under 6 months, and I know Robert is in really high demand. Part of the reason is that he gives each of those rifles his full attention, so if it's got his name on it, you know it's a shooter. I know it's hard to be patient, but you'll love what you he builds you. I've got two of his rifles and they're my favorite guns.

Have you ever seen Robert dancing in a strip club? Dont let him fool you into thinking he is just "Watching" Ha! Ha!

He's been busy, he has 21 rifles left to build. I was going to have him build mine but he said he is not taking on any more builds right now, possibly 6 months down the road.

What did he tell you when you dropped off the parts?

He really didn't tell me anything, other than he doesn't give exact build times. I understood that too because I saw how many partial and completed parts builds that he had waiting in his shop. Im getting more excited by the day because the man does excellent work and his shop is a thing of beauty.

I was thinking the same thing also. I'm sure I'll be getting the call here soon, I'm looking forward to it.

Talked to Robert yesterday. He is back in the shop and working. The surgery after the incident at the strip club was a success. The high heel was removed without any serious damage. Ha! Ha!

Last of my parts were delivered in October, except for the scope. Figured I would send that when he calls me that he will be starting on the rifle.
