I'm torn between these two and need your help. I would use the night vision for hunting so I wouldn't just be sneaking around the house with it.


On the other hand, i already have the scope for the Covert and would sell my current .338LM to buy a .338LM conversion(and have some extra dough).

It's neck and neck. I've been comparing the pvs-14s and it seems the ITT Pinnacle ones are brighter but have thinner film than the L3 Litton. The L3 would hold up on my .300 blackout.... So many choices....
 
I've come to a road block with this decision. It turns out that hunting coyotes with night vision is not permitted in the state of Kansas. It doesn't make any sense as they allow hunting at night. I guess they just don't want you to be able to identify your target. hunting was going to be the main thing i used it for.... Urghhh...

I'm thinking the DTA SRS Covert may be the best bet for me considering this BS law.

I agree with this. A scope you can always get. The way things are going they might begin restricting our buying things like NV next. I rarely use mine but sure feel more secure having it on the table beside the bed.
