A few weeks ago I ordered 2 sets of Vortex flip up scope covers for my Vipers. I got a backorder notification, and the ability to cancel. I thought I'd wait it out, but it's been awhile. Anybody got em? Are they worth the wait? Or should I cancel em, and buy something else?

I never could remember to measure my scope so I could buy the BC's, that's why I ordered straight from Vortex. But I hear a lot of you guys sayin they're pretty flimsy, so I guess we'll se when they get here.

I've got two sets of em... I have 2 pst's... a 16x and the 24x.

I had to use some blue masking tape to get the front one to fit snug. A size smaller wouldn't even fit. They are pretty thin and don't hold shut easily. Barely bump em and they flip up. Maybe Vortex will work on them for us.

i use them on my 2 4-16X50 FFP Viper's and they seem to be fine. I second that the recent BC's break easily. I had to replace two 2A's in a matter of weeks.

The ones that came with my Razor were too flimsy for comfort. Way too easy to pop open unintentionally and no spring tension to keep them open. They would stand straight up when open but could flop around if moving around or in a light breeze.

Took just over a month to get my caps in from Vortex. Surely didn't take that long to get my Premier caps in. The vortex caps seem ok and fit better than the Butler Creeks I picked up for it.

Wish Vortex would make caps similar to the aluminum Leupold caps.

Too long for me. I checked the order, and it wasn't supposed to ship till 4/3. That's 2 full months from the order date. With that and the not so good quality you guys are talking about, I decided to cancel.

I just run butler creek and when the break I keep the packaging and take them back for replacement @ local dealer. LOL. No money out of my pocket. I think I've done this twice now? Hehehe, yeah. BC's really are crap.

I have a problem with the objective cover staying closed on my PST 4-16. It likes to pop open and is also difficult to snap closed sometimes.
