British Columbia Precision Rifle Championship
June 29th, 30th July 1st Chilliwack BC Canada.

BCRA Precision Rifle Championship http://bcprecisionriffle.com/Home.html is Canada’s premier precision rifle event. Drawing competitors from across Canada and the US it is a show case of top tier marksmen from the ranks of police, military and civilians alike. Shot by teams of two, shooters and spotters swap roles during each match. Solo competitors are assigned a partner at registration. Results are tabulated by individual and team.
With a course of fire spread over three days, competitors are tested with an array of challenges ranging from sub M.O.A. dots, target discrimination at 400m and movers at 300m – 600m. Additional matches involve shooting from roof tops, your spotter’s body and from behind barricades.
Experienced shooters will find themselves challenged with the opportunity to be tested on a broad variety of simulations unique to venue. Come test your skills against your peers in this hotly contested race to be the best in Western Canada. The key to winning this match is to make the fewest mistakes.
New to precision shooting? We invite you to come out and see what it is all about. You will be exposed to some of the challenges the discipline demands as well as the opportunity for mentorship. The best practice for this match is to shoot this match. Everyone had a first time they shoot from a roof tops or at moving targets and for many it is this match. You will find the match challenging and rewarding at several levels.

This is a great match that's well run and well worth the trip across the line.

So if I read this right:
"Participation in the BC Precision Rifle Championship requires membership in the British Colombia Rifle Association (BCRA) or the Alberta Rifle Association (ARA)."
So those of us from the states would have to join one of these organizations to compete ?

BTW nice website and info ! Looks like a fun match.

You can buy a $35 membership for BCRA to compete in the matches, I might have to go, looks like a great match.

Hello AtOne,
Thanks for the complement and interest. We try to improve the match each year for the shooters.
The membership in the BCRA is required as part of the agreement for the use of the range. The basic membership would cost $35 on top of the match fee for participants from the US.
The Match is held at a military range. British Columbia Rifle Association has an agreement with the military for the use of the range. The BCRA ensures the range is used according to the Military range procedures and the participants have liability insurance.
We have had shooters attend from the US. These have included 2 stand up guys from US Team Savage who have attend the match 3 or 4 times.
All shooters are made to feel welcome. Egos are checked in at the door and participants come prepared to shoot against everyone and anyone. We work on getting LE, Mil and Civis to attend to make it the premier match of this type in Canada.

I'm going to try to make it up this year as I have several friends that I would like to compete against. I've heard great things about this comp.

Over the border...

Are there any tips/techniques for bringing gear over the border and back intact?

How to apply pressure: Paint vests onto some of the good guys.

OK, a whole bunch.

Over 30 minutes at random intervals expose 30 bad guys mixed in with 20 good guys at 500m.
You end up with a bunch of spent shooters and spotters who grab some shut eye after their relay is finished.
