Best advice is to play with it. Too many functions to go into detail, but I use it for everything. Love it.
Some features I use the most.
-Set up the BC for different velocities
-Stores more data for rifles than I have
-Easy to add rifles
-Have home screen wind values set up for half and full value winds.
-Being able to dial exact distances
-If only engaging 5 targets or less, program each distance in and makes switching yardages super easy (Or have first 5 targets in string programmed)
-Range card function also nice for quick reference
-All the other basic Kestrel features are nice.
Things that are nice but I never use
-Capturing wind speed straight into ballistic data. I sometimes measure to get a starting point, but usually just shoot and adjust.
-capturing inclination
-Bluetooth
-Sometimes a pain to find how to adjust data, like speed for movers as example. Losts of screens to look through.
-Really annoying settins yardages just by scrolling. But I geuss thats what the range card is for. It scrolls slow, then fast. Almost always goes past desired yardage. Dont know how else to do it tho.
If you have any specific questions, I will be glad to help if I can
