Hi All:


Our next BGTC Precision Rifle Match (Birmingham, Al) will be on saturday 3/9/13 on Range H as usual. Match fee is $20 cash [no checks please]. Register with me in advance of the match date by PM to me on Snipershide or email to me at [email protected]. Be sure to send me your full name, caliber and muzzle velocity you plan to shoot. You will sign in & pay the match fee [and sign a waiver if you are a non member] the morning of the match @ the "pavilion" on bgtc premises @ 12:15-12:45pm, shooting starts at about 1:00pm. Below is the course of fire. Match is limited to 30 shooters. Round count = 38 rounds. {Bring some extra ammo in case we have a side match}. No caliber over .30, muzzle velocity no greater then 3,000 fps (unless approved by us in advance of match-you can email me with ?'s about your setup). Hope to see you there. NO SPOTTING SCOPES ARE ALLOWED TO BE USED BY SHOOTERS DURING THE MATCH. THE ONLY SHOOTER GLASS ALLOWED DURING THE MATCH WILL BE THE RIFLE SCOPE ON THE GUN YOU ARE SHOOTING. SHOOTERS CANNOT SPOT FOR EACH OTHER DURING THE MATCH

Here is the course of fire.

100/200 yard "dot drills", prone 10 rds total, time starts with mag out, bolt open, 1 minute for 5 rds @ 1" dot at 100 yds, then 1 minute for 5 rds @ 2" dot @ 200 yds, 10 pts per hit

500 yard "barricade stage", kneeling, 5 rds, time starts with mag out, bolt open, 90 seconds to move to barricade & engage targets from left to right- POINT VALUES = [Rd1] 16” circle = 8, [Rd2] 18x13 diamond = 10, [Rd3] 10” circle = 12, [Rd4] 8” diamond =14 pts, [Rd5] 6" circle = 16 pts

600 yards "know your limits" [if/when you miss you are done and lose all points for this stage, stop when you want to before you miss [after your first shot] and keep your points previously earned for this stage, order of target engagement is required as stated herein], prone 5 rds maximum, time starts with mag out, bolt open,1 minute to engage from left to right, [Rd1] 18x13 diamond = 10, [Rd2] 10” circle = 12, [Rd3] 8” diamond =14 pts, [Rd4] 6" circle = 16 pts, [Rd5] 5" circle = 20 pts

700 yards "pick your points", prone 10 rds, 90 seconds, time starts with mag out, bolt open, shooter can engage any of the six orange steel plates at the terminal berm in any order, the shooter must verbally call the plate engaged to be awarded/scored points for a hit, once a shooter has hit a plate two times no further points will be awarded for hitting that plate,
TARGET POSITIONS FROM LEFT TO RIGHT & POINT VALUES AS FOLLOWS:
16” circle = 8pts, 18x13 diamond = 10pts, 10” circle = 12pts, 8” diamond =14 pts, 6" circle = 16 pts, 5" circle = 20 pts

from 722 yard line, "reticle hold stage", prone 5 rds, 30 seconds, time starts with MAG IN, BOLT CLOSED, shooter will engage targets in following required order-5" circle @ 300 yds, 1/2 Ipsc @ 400 yds, 16" circle @ 700 yds, 1/2 Ipsc @ 400 yds, 5" circle @ 300 yds, 10 pts per hit

from 722 yd line, 400 yard "hustle to the barricade stage", start from designated location, move around obstruction to barricade, shoot from kneeling or seated position-your choice, from lowest barricade level [this is required], time starts with mag out, bolt open, 60 seconds, 3 rds @ 1/2 Ipsc @ 400 yds, 10 pts per hit

Tested some new stages yesterday we will have a new course of fire and higher round count. Hint: better get your sling out , and get off your belly
