As we know ammo has been a problem. Hornady Steel Match has shown up at the local Dicks. Has anyone used this steel cased ammo in their rifles? Whats your opinion on it. I would be using it in my beloved Remington MilSpec .223 that I will be keeping a long time

Friend of mine was shooting it from an AR15 and a Mini 14. it worked better than typical range ammo like Mag Tech or American Eagle but not as good as full on match ammo. Seems like a good bet for cheaper practice ammo but too good for plinking. Seems like a great price point for what it is actually.

I've used it in AR's and bolts (.223) and shot it out to 600yds and was thoroughly impressed with it. It's very good ammo for the price and don't let the steel case hold you up. It's isnt Tula.

I ran it in my BCM for a while. Great ammo, the heavier than normal bullets really like my barrel.

I shoot the 75 and 55 grn 223 at 3 gun matches through my AR and its reliable and accurate. It's the same powder and bullets are the brass cases loads but using a more economical steel case. Pick some up and try it out.

75gr Steel Match was sub-MOA from a 26" 1:9 Savage 12FV, and easily made repeatable hits on 8" steel @ 650yd.

Shoots right at MOA, maybe a fuzz below, from a BHW 18" 1:8 AR barrel.

I shoot it in my JP, and I've had great luck with it. It's inexpensive and really accurate. Thumbs up.

I was going to use it, but it needed to be ordered. There was Prvi-Partizan match .223 (69 and 75gr) available on the shelf. I found it to be quite acceptable for training and youth applications, and the brass is very reloadable as well.

I have abandoned ideas about steel match. I don't think it's bad, but I don't need to order the Prvi-Partizan (PPU Headstamp).

But then again, I also haven't tried to buy any .223 since before last November.
