can someone tell me if you can order a accuracy int. stock for a savage fcp-k in .308? I've looked on there site and all I see if stocks for the rem. 700

Mile high and EuroOptic have them. I ordered EuroOptic's last AICS 2.0 in FDE. I have a 10PC, so I will have to inlet it for the bolt release in front of the trigger, but that's not a big deal.

They havent updated their web site to include the Savages in the AICS line but they are now available. I just finished a build on one and am hoping to get out this weekend to give it a dance. They are a bit hard to come by right now since they have been teasing everyone in the Savage world for about three years. They get sucked up pretty quick upon delivery.

I tried to contact AI about a stock for my Savage. I am assuming they make them for long actions as well?

Well, I got my rifle in the stock and there was a little bit to inlet. The thing is the mill was down, so I used a mill bit in the drill press and a dremel. It isn't pretty, but it's in there and it functions perfectly. I will clean it up on the mill when it's working.

They really are the shit arent they? Next to a real AI of course. I had to take a dremel tool to the bottom rear corner of my SSS trigger housing to get mine to seat fully. When faced with the prospect of modifying a $100 trigger or $1100 stock, it seemed like an easy decision to me.

I emailed EuroOptics awhile back about availability of a 1.5 SA Savage, I got a reply saying that stocks should be back late spring/early summer if I remember correctly. I deleted the email so can say for certain if a month was given.

To confirm this is an AI stock built for the savage action? Why then do you have to modify the stock for the action? can you show pictures of where you had to remove material for the 10PC action in the stock with action removed?

Thank you

My savage has the bolt release in front of the trigger. This AICS is inlet for Savage 4.4" actions with the bolt release on the right side of the receiver. I had to inlet for the bolt release. Once I clean it up with the mill (when it's back up), I will post some pictures. It was an easy inlet and you could do it with a dremel or even a file.

The modification was to an SSS trigger, not the factory unit.
