Looking for a good handheld weather station at a decent price. Anyone know of a good brand that will work well. Thanks for your input

kestrel....been using the 4000 model for a few years now and like it...you can shop and score one for a couple hundred

The warranty on the Kestrel kicks ass!
5 years, no BS.
Just sent my 4500NV in and they sent a new one back to me the next day.

Here is a little feedback on my recent use of the Kestrel warranty:
Sent my three year old Kestrel 4500NV in for service.
The day after they received it, I received tracking information for the repaired item.
Upon opening the package, I realized that they had sent me a brand new Kestrel 4000NV.
I was a bit conflicted about this.
The quick turn around time and replacement of my device with a new one was outstanding.
However, it was not the same model that I sent them.
I was anxious and tried to wait patiently until the customer service desk opened in the morning.
Not a big deal, everyone makes mistakes.
It is how the mistakes / issues are handled that is important.
So, I called customer service and explained the situation.
I was pleasantly surprised that they insisted on immediately sending out a new 4500NV to me and that there would be a return shipping tag in the box with it.
(I was expecting them to issue me another RA number and then have to wait for them to receive it before they would ship.)
While they were being so generous, I asked if it would be possible to switch from a Green 4500NV to a Coyote Brown 4500NV.
They agreed to do so at no change and thanked me for being a customer.
Too often folks bitch and complain about companies.
I thought that I would take a second to give credit where credit is due.
As previously stated by "harley_jeff", it you decide to purchase a Kestrel, order it through Tony. (aka "NOMAD")
He is not only a site sponsor, but he also has some killer prices.
(and his Data Books are ok too…)

Are you kidding me Tyler? You are "just getting into long range shooting" after doing three weeks of homework on the ranges to win the 2013 International Sniper Competition?
