so I just got back from the range and my tightest group (may have thrown one) is about 1 MOA give or take a bit. I have sanded the barrel channel and shimmed the action to try and squeeze every ounce of accuracy out of this junky stock. I unfortunately have to wait another month or two for my upgrade to arrive. any one have any other ideas to stiffen this thing up? or is anyone using this stock having similar results?

I am pretty new to the long range rifle scene, but what set up are you using? I have a Rem. 700 308 in a Hogue stock and with Hornady zombie killer 168gr (something like that) I was getting 1/2 MOA groups. However this was only out to 100 yards and on a superb day. The next time I took it out it there was some wind and my groups were S#!T. If you find a good solution tot the issue I would like to hear about it?!

I think I've heard of some folks putting some epoxy down in the honeycomb webs and stuff to stiffen the stock up.... just don't "bed" your action that way...

I'd not even mess with it honestly if you have a nice solid stock coming. If you leave it be you can sell it and recoup some cash. BUT if you just want to mess with it, epoxy away lol. I would consider putting in some dowel rods or something, then adding epoxy.
