I have a picture of him helping a guy that had both of his legs blown off, if you look close he is holding the guys femoral artery in his hand and squeezing it to keep him from bleeding to death. If I can get it uploaded you well see just how horrific the incident was that he went through. My hats off to the guy for sure.
I would be shaking my ass off too. Look at these pictures of this very same guy (4th pic down in the list). Wow, this guy is amazing! Most would be running away like little girls. This guy didn't and he is a hero!
Odd, I always found myself shaking after triaging VBIED victims too. I think the guy handled himself extremely well in the face of stress that most people, even Soldiers never find themselves in, the reality of triaging/treating IED victims. The shit sucks. For this father of a Marine, and son who committed suicide to be out then to have the ability to do what he did speaks volumes for his character. He is one man who I would gladly hand citizenship if he does not have it as long as he takes the tests like everyone else. He HAS given to this country, far more than many others. Seeing the immediate aftermath of that explosion as smoke hung in the air, and bodies were still being worked on only reminded me of certain events in OEF VII. This is not redcoats being pissed off over some old tea
